People be sleeping on part 1. I also like to remind people of when this was originally written. I feel old at times and then I remind myself that Jojo has existed for almost as long as I have. There's going to be elements storywise that don't quite hold up today, which is fine. It's a constant journey and evolution. If you skip a part, guaranteed people will have questions about certain things that should be common knowledge.
Gotta be honest, if Part 1 had been any different, I would not have liked the series. It was different, not at all what I expected! While the entire series is grand! Part 1 & 2 are excellent openers. Did I know there was gonna be vampires? Not at all! Zombies? Freaking Sun-Powered Martial Arts stuff? That’s what drew me in! And further with the honesty, going into the series blind, the Entry of Stands in Part 3 was incredibly jarring, but I got used to it after Polnareff entered frame!😂 Araki has this power of making each part different, and in a good way, may feel bizarre for a moment, but that’s the point, and it keeps things exciting!
Oh boy the day when salad tackles one piece and naruto prepare for mega character analysis and why he loves these characters especially luffy and chopper boy do i see some fun analysis videos on them naruto on the other hand why do i get the feeling salad is gonna end up making arc reviews about each arc and why he liked them and what he wouldve loved to change and or make different though still glad to see a jojo review watched every part currently waiting for steel ball run so cant wait for more content salad
Hey just a recommendation but be careful when speedrunning this series because it’s possible to not appreciate a lot of things or miss some things. I’ve been a mega fan just for 4 years and I’m still finding new things from both the manga and anime to this day.
It is *not* that one _should_ skip directly to Part 3, it is that many of us *had* to, as *Part 3 reached North America **_first_** as an Arcade game!* _JOJO's Venture_ hit North American arcades in 1998.This is a _fabulous_ tournament style fighting game, made by Capcom themselves using the same hardware that went into the Street Fighter III titles. It received updates in the usual Capcom style, and was retitled _Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future._ It also received home ports, even a PSOne port *that was great!* As for why that was shocking... ...the _short_ version is that the hardware in the original Sony Playstation was _weak_ when it came to what we refer to as 2D gaming. That's why no version of Street Fighter III was ever released for the PSOne, and why _X-Men VS Street Fighter_ and _Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter_ (the predecessors to _Marvel Vs Capcom_ ) lost their tag features, and why even well-made games like the _Street Fighter Alpha_ and _Darkstalkers_ series saw lots of animations cut. *FYI,* this is how I was introduced to JJBA, from buying a used copy of _Heritage for the Future_ for the PSOne. *They gave it a crazy detailed Story Mode* that covered all of Stardust Crusaders. *Around the same time came the **_Jojo's Bizarre Adventure_** OVA released from 2000 to 2002 in North America.* These only covered Stardust Crusaders, and had some significant changes. I've never seen them myself, but would like to. *The North American release of the Stardust Crusaders **_manga_** hit shelves in 2005, finishing in 2010.* Yeah, they jumped immediately to Stardust Crusaders, instead of starting with _Phantom Blood._ Seems kind of strange now, but it was the norm at the time and for the previous decade - we started with _Dragon Ball Z_ and not _Dragon Ball,_ after all. To reiterate, *I recommend people start with Phantom Blood,* be it the manga or the 2012 anime. Early North American JJBA fans weren't given a choice, though... and so many of us offer it to fans reluctant to give JJBA a shot at all. Granted, I also recommend starting Dragon Ball with... uh... _Dragon Ball_ so maybe I'm just odd that way. XD
I didn't skip part 1 and I actually enjoyed it but tbh I think skipping it is totally fair - it's so different that you might hate it and drop JoJo's even if you would have loved the other parts
