In this video I will be working on some Cowboy Artwork, character designing in my sketchbook, and drawing and painting some shrimps! I have a lot of different projects I’m starting, continuing, and hopefully finishing so this video is a little taste of everything going on in my studio these days. I also talk about some updates regarding this channel, my shop, Instagram, and how I am feeling about my skills as an artist.

I love how modest you are about everything, you don't take things for granted it seems. Give yourself credit that you do something that millions of artists struggle with the absolute most: starting. You are making art, that is one of the most beautiful things a person can do. It isn't just the product, or outcome, but the process that matters.

Your content actually got me back into sketchbooking so I wanted to say thank you!! While listening to this I'm actually filling in the last bit of space in my current sketchbook, a massive one that's taken me nearly two years to finish- not because it's that big but because I had switched to primarily digital art during that time and it was too awkward to carry around once I started college and so just... stopped working in it for the longest time! But it's been so refreshing to just sketch and play around and plan out drawings in it again, especially as someone who worked so heavily in sketchbooks from middle school all the way up until very recently!!

it really is comforting to have this in the background when i draw. also the food looks delicious (even more so as a drawing!!) i recently bought procreate so i’m just doodling in it to get used to the format :)

Hey I went to college in Central Florida also, but I did not study art and regret not taking any classes. Do you have any classes you specifically took that help you develop your skills both as an artist and a painter? Thank you!

So glad you like the tangents 😂💖 I went to UCF, and mainly took their Intermediate and Advanced Painting classes, but they didn’t really teach technical skills more finding your voice and subject matter and who you are as an artist. I would find some online fundamental painting classes instead !

watching this while crocheting :D i cant really draw right now coz i burnt my hand making hot chocolate but i have lots of ideas and im writing them all down in the meantime :)) the thing about mediocrity kinda hit me(this is my username on everything lol) but im working on not self-deprecating as much and being more proud of the work i put into my art :)

interesting to see you talk about the youtube thing. wanted to ask if you colorgrade your videos? i feel like the editing takes really long time for me, so i can't finish both the drawing and editing in just one week. which is hindering channel growth for me because of the irregular posting. would be nice when i can eventually speed up the process. and yeah colorgrading is not fun. also it changes the colors of paints too which is annoying. and there aren't many resources (that i found) which helps artists in the editing department so far. do share if you know any. ty
I do some slight changes in saturation, brightness, and contrast. I try to film in natural light so that I don’t have to do too much post correction 👍
