I was waiting for these speakers ever since Creative sent out their press release back in Aug 2016. I was anxiously awaiting these and was one of the first to purchase direct from Creative (purchased immediately after being advised they were finally available via their email notification system). I have an HP Envy 17-3290 (3D) laptop, so I preferred to connect my external speaker system via "USB". As most know, there just is not a lot of USB "high-end" speaker systems available, so when Creative announced these, I knew exactly what speakers I wanted! These speakers are simply fantastic, in every way! They are a computer gamers' delight, since they come with RGB light-bars on the bottom front edge of the satellite speakers. The sub-woofer performs exceptionally well and the satellite speakers have amazing clarity and volume. The audio control pod provides hassle-free connection for your headset, microphone and of course your volume. The control pod has an anti-slip bottom and is an amazing feature! The software that comes with the Kratos S5, allows for fine tuning to ones delight.
So, if you are in the market for a "USB" speaker system, look no further. The Kratos S5 will meet and exceed all of your requirements, all while looking good to boot!!! Thank you Creative, for producing such an outstanding product at a reasonable price point (especially if bought on Amazon)!
Bull shit. They're absolutely shitty speakers. They require very specific settings in Windows to work properly
- don't allow the S5 Kratos to do additional processing on playback signals, because you'll get a constant echo.
- do allow the S5 Kratos to do additional processing on microphone signals, because otherwise the neat sound blaster connect application won't be able to do the microphone effects.
- Auto stand by manual switch on back of subwoofer. If you have auto stand by turned on, prepare for your speakers to quit working at random after some silence, after which you have to turn them off and back on to get undistorted sound.
- First set I ordered stopped working after ONE MONTH. Second stopped working after ANOTHER TWO MONTHS. Currently on my third, a few months old now. I feel like this one is definitely going to be a winner, fingers crossed.

Do they have good bass, and are they loud because i need loud, like im talking so so loud i want loud that im deaf after 5 seconds after the song has started, i want loud to the level where i dont have ears no more after i play a song ty

I have a question, what the speaker equalizer setting will have effects (saved on speaker) when we not turn on the computer,?
If this speaker has been set the equalizer with sound blasterx app on pc, what its still save the equalizer setting when not turn on computer,?
Example when use tv sound or 3.5 jack input with smartphone

Is the little remote detachable from the Subwoofer? Because if it isn't I'm not getting them since I won't be able to put it on my desk......
The remote isn't detachable but it has a good length to be on the floor or another desk and still reach your desk without any problems!
Wish we could connect this bar with their Kratos S5 Speaker so the qualisty of the sound would be better and Higher. I ask them and they said we couldn't but I don't know if their a way to do it anyway :x hahaha Would be awesome to have them sync

Thanks . I bought it 13 augst. And same I was afraid to play on high vol. But that day after reset kratos driver ,it could not detect the speaker .later got help from creativ3 but its not as loud as first day. No other speaker driver installed in my pc beside kratoss5 .

You got it installed just so, popping it in to your computer? I have tried everything and trying to solve this with creative but either the program tells me it cant find the speakers or when I roll back the drivers, the speakers now produce sound but I cant do anything with the program. Help please? :D
Goat of Ill Omen yeah for me it was just a plug in play, once you download the correct drivers the speakers will appear in your sound tab and then you can customize with the creative software.

There is a crackling which go out of my surrounding walls when I increase the volume via the base. Even by connecting earphones on the base the cracklings are broadcast in earphones. Do you meet the same problem?
I think it's just the audio feedback it happens with a lot of other speakers I've used!

Yes, once you download the software you can customize it to your liking!

did you plug it into a usb3.0? I did and they died. all rgbs died and no sound or any connection detected

yeah they told me that the firmware didnt update properly. so had to rma
I bought it today ,sound is good. But after installing all soft it showing device is not detected? Any suggestions?
Did you try fully restarting the PC after the istallation? Or even just trying another USB port. It's the first I've heard of something like this happening.
Hy. I somehow click on reset driver datz why default option changed. Later creative mailed me a way and reinstalled the driver it worked again fine now . But in realtek sound quality is more loud

they did it those insane son of a b..... done it they made the most RGB Rainbow Dash style of pc accessories and somthing like that. that glows rainbows. like a acid trippy lightshow.

No, the bass can only be controlled by the subwoofer. There is a lever on there!
Bass? What Bass? I hate Heavy bass and yet I can barely get enough with the bass knob turned all the way up.

Good cuz RGB improves performance on everything so it must sound like the song artist is singing the song directly to you in real life.

Razer Nommo aren't that great... Go for these ones! They work much better!

You are plugging it into the wrong place then.
Program doesent work anymore :(
You have to make sure to download the overall Creative program and then install the individual driver.

Depends on your situation I like the katana because it's easier to move around!
USB cable does NOT work, and drivers will NOT install correctly.
you need to to use the usb 2.0 port
Hey i had the sameproblem..the solution is unistal any creative realited program..then downoad the latest firware and the soundblaster connect...aafter that instal the firmware on safemode..restart to normal mode instal soundblaster connext and you are done ;)

You’re going to love the subwoofer! Best pair of speakers I’ve used! I would recommend listening to music first to break them in!

a 5 minutes Speaker review... with no mention whatsoever of what the speakers sound like......
Can't tell how the speakers sound because over a video it wouldn't translate as well as it would in real life!

Then just turn them off. That´s the best thing of RGB, yo can choose the color you want and also turn them off if you wish.
