In my humble opinion... one of the best 80s bands.

I think this may be one of my favorite bands of all time. The sound and lyrics resonate deeply for me. I would have been too young to appreciate it when it was young. Kinda feel like I was born too late sometimes.

Oh, me too! It's terrible when you know you'll never be able to see most of your favourite bands live as most no longer exist.

in an alternative universe these guys are filling stadiums and U2 split up years ago.
The Comsat Angels seemed unlucky, poor record company support and never fashionable.
Some of their best songs hard to find.
I only saw them once and they were not good that night but their first 3 albums and My Mind's Eye are great.

Brilliant Music. Shares that ice cold beauty of John Foxx fronted Ultravox.

Saw them supporting U2 in Liverpool around about then - we were all impressed - a very committed approach they have - original too.

I was there too. They were so much better than U2.

I am of the opinion that it is/was impossible for the Comsat Angels to produce a crappy song. Hell, even that freaking Dream Command has one good tune on it!

So fresh after all these years ... started listening to them on John Peel in the early 80s. Outstanding !

Always loved this track! I just have to ask why does Stephen Fellows continue to squint his eyes as he sings, it's so violently throughout the song? He seems to have some kind of distraction going on, maybe the drugs he is on or its all for some kind of attention to him. Anyway I loved this band and almost got to see them once in the summer of 1982 but the concert was cancelled due to illness in the band.

Probably just the way he gets the most from his voice. It's an instrument and people pull all kinds of faces when performing. Why on earth would you think it was drugs or because he is seeking attention?

this is good, but the power of the studio version blows this out the water.

Stephen is a good musician, but man he needs how not to squint his eyes half the time.
