My grandmother never measured the pressure knob, but instead, she counted the number of rings she could see. Your videos are very helpful, and I absolutely love watching them! Thank you!
Very helpful. Thank you! It’s nice to build a repertoire of tools and techniques so as to “solve” various challenges/needs. Again, thank you from a 201 sewist as well! 👏👏👏
I have a vintage sewing machine (about the early 60s Singer) and have wanted to try this technique, but I couldn't find any information about how to use the foot. I especially appreciated the explanation about the pressure on the foot. I would like to see a video on how to determine pressure for regular stitching and see the effects on the stitch.
Cheers for the video, I have one of these that I've never used. Your 201 is v handsome! What's the red material on the top of the presser foot knob? Is it an oil wick?
Thank you 🥰. Yes it's a makeshift oil wick I made out of red felt. The original oil wick popped out one day while I was treadling and fell between the floor boards 🤣 the red felt works well though.

Aww I also count the rings sometime too 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you 😁 I made a video previously on Tips for Using Your Vintage Machine - one of them I talk through understanding pressure which may be helpful?
What a relaxing voice. Love your videos.
@@nancybenson1951 aww thank you very much 🥰
Thank You Truly !!! This would be perfect for adding the ease between the notches in a cap sleeve ! Brilliant
Thank you very much 😁 yes it certainly helps with any sort of sleeve gathers, it takes the fiddliness out of it for sure!
Love it! You star, thank you ❤
