If only Warner Bros would ever consider releasing a SuperFriends soundtrack with all the various intros as well as lots of stock music heard on the series, regardless of how most of the music was shared on other Hanna Barbera cartoons. I would give anything for a SuperFriends soundtrack!!
Yup. I just watched some episodes of 1973 Super Friends on HBO Max. The animation, writing, and acting didn’t age well from my childhood recollections of watching on Saturday mornings, but the theme music sounds as good as ever just as I remembered it.

This is by far the best tv or cartoon theme song ever. I grew up with the Superfriends. They were the highlight of Saturday mornings. My favorite is and always will be Aquaman but so glad Captain Marvel has been included in the current movie genres. He deserves better treatment than being the 'big red cheese '.

You can hear similarities to the Battle of the planets ballads used in the soundtracks for various fighting themes and the intro and ending, Battle of the planets was that American version of the gatchaman anime from Japan that sandy frank bought the North American rights to, Hoyt curtain added severely musical pieces to the American version
Oh wow. I loved this cartoon as a kid. Of all the Super Friends variations, I'd say Challenge of the Super Friends or the one immediately before that were my favorite ones. The first ones with Marvin et I wasn't crazy about but still had this theme. :)

I heard it on Crisis showing Gleek cage and it was damn awsome and totally surprised that was in it. I look forward to seeing Gleek, Wonder Twins, etc in CW after Crisis now over sadly. Sad to see Arrow go though but Arrowverse will always be here. We can welcone the new series Superman and Lois on cw and Stargirl when they premier.

Loved this music since I was a kid, but I could never find it without the opening credits voiceover and sound effects. Still epic even with those things m, but it’s great being able to hear just the music. I never understood why this music wasn’t used later, it’s so great. That should use this them in the Justice League movies. Actually, I think it would be fantastic if the made a “Super Friends,” movie, “not Justice League.” Enough with trying to make these movies more “dark” and “realistic.” Make a corny superhero movie again with Superman and Batman and Wonder Woman and Aquaman they way they used to be, like the 1979 Superman.
