To me, people preach that only noobs jump with little mac unless recovering are the true noobs because his rather high air speed can make it a good evasion option at times when simply ground running won't work, and it can fake out people always expecting a "run up and c stick or dash".
"You need to stop jumping so much." I understand but the point of the video is more about being careful in neutral and disadvantage because good players can call you out for that. I think "You need to stop being so predictable" works a tad better.
3:10 every character Dr. Mario: just wait till I change my clothes but as of now, I’m useless. Dr. Mario: before hand I will just trade my stock and go down to trade with the devil so I assend back down from the heavens.
For me, this was probably one of the most useful ProGuides videos. I always jump off platforms and jump out of combos. I also always burn my double jump when recovering (But I'm cutting myself slack with that one because I main Cloud)
as a cloud pocket it helps to mix up timings and things to make up for having to use your jump, like midair cross slash to stall or slinging blade beam just above ledge (or if youre at a nice distance just jumping and then airdodging to ledge) cloud actually has some nice options to confuse the opponent a bit and get out of disadvantage
I’m pretty guilty of this but when you play a character with a bad recovery you learn to be more creative with recovering for example I played Doctor Mario that’s how I broke the habit.
Yes, I honestly can’t stand when some players will literally full hop into you with an aerial every single time to approach. It’s usually done by players with poor movement and no concept of neutral.
Honestly this is fair. I’ve lost so many matches because I double jumped by reflex and then got hit in the air before going into the full height of the second jump, and then when I tried to jump out of the hit stun I couldn’t and missed the window to use my recovery.
I noticed that whenever I ledge jump I do a double jump right after and waste one of my options, also I noticed that whenever I'm getting juggled I double jump to avoid the attack alot. Those are the main 2 habits that I am trying to get rid of right now. P.S. This video helped me alot with my double jump habits after getting juggled or after a ledge jump so thanks for teaching me other options I could do instead of that.
4:55 is how almost every player online plays and it's fucking annoying. They all play as Joker, Roy, Mario, or Captain Falcon and they all just run away from you, jump, and spam aerials until time runs out. It really takes all the fun out if it when your opponent won't just fight you like a normal person.
@@calebking1608 Shoryuken has a disgustingly huge hitbox, so I can assure you if someone tries to land on you with an aerial, shoryu wins 9/10 times. And punishing shoryu simply isnt an option. If your thinking about holding holding shield and waiting for Ken to shoryu shield, then you'll likely get inazuma kicked instead because its pokes through shield if it doesnt outright break it. Reacting to a shoryuken anti air is difficult because the move is relatively quick. And dont expect someone to raw shoryu in neutral but going for up tilt > heavy jab > shoryu is much safer and kills way earlier.
Last I jumped was.... Now let's say now. But anyways this has been helpful for me I have a jumping habit and I kinda get screwed over depending on the match up.

Attacking is bad. You have to not hit people to a actually hit them. It's a matter of martial arts. The art of combat goes very deep in many ways.
