  • Do you resonate your tone? What does that really mean?
    Today I’m talking to you about resonation or what makes a tone vibrant and alive. There are 3 things you can do to make your tone resonate. When you use resonation to improve your tone, you will be surprised at how much you like it!

    So much like singing! Sounds like me giving a voice lesson! Opened throat, raised soft palate, opened velopharyngeal ports and so on. I never thought when I started this that singing and playing the flute would have this much in common! Thanks again for your excellent videos!

      You get it! I didn’t know either but I took singing lessons in college and got to know what was happening and then could apply it to flute. So cool for you!

    I really appreciate your work, but after all these years you just need better sound equipment. Just like a great flutist doesn't always come across the best with a bad flute, same goes here. The lessons are obviously great but I don't want to hear them - literally!
