- Solar Ash is the latest space adventure from Hyper Light Drifter developer Heart Machine. Like the previous game, Solar Ash is full of beautiful alien imagery, but you can’t stop to admire its deep purples and inspiring architecture -- it's all about speed. Slowing down will be the death of you.
We explore why Solar Ash never stops moving in this video. From the bosses to the oozing Anomalies to the planet itself, everything in Solar Ash forces you to put the pedal to the metal. It’s an incredible game for it, even if you can’t really stop to think about why. But hey, that’s what this channel is for!
Solar Ash is available now on PS5, PS4, and PC. We at FrameWork absolutely recommend it, and if you have a good time playing it, then you might as well give Hyper Light Drifter a go too!

keep going my guy loving every video
I've never heard of this game, but my word, Rei's character design is so damn good
Do yourself a favor and play it. It’s a blast.
I’m not sure if this was canon or not but towards the end of my playing this game I had the thought that the line that leads you to the next target could actually be the anomalies bloodstream. Hence the pins Rei sticks in it having liquid in them and having to get to them to actually inject it into the anomaly. This made all the bosses feel even cooler as well as make the anomalies feel even more massive. You’re literally racing against the anomalies bloodstream.
There's a line in the game somewhere about the pins being the anomalies nerve endings, so it's more likely the lines are part of the nervous system. It's like Rei is giving them really bad acupuncture, or she's a more lethal version of that girl from Avatar.
This game is so damn good.
Sounds like the ideal sonic game
Honestly, yes. This is what Frontiers should be
@@FrameWorkVideo I am so scared for what frontiers is probably going to be.
they just released a teaser, and Sonic seems to have some fun air based attacks that rely on speed. Not to mention, colossal overworld bosses from the looks of it! So who knows! We could get something like Solar Ash after all.
Thank you for breaking everything down to what this game is actually about. I just finished the capital and still trying to wrap my head around it. Just trial and error and keep moving.
And for doing it spoiler free ;) Cuz believe it or not there's a solid amount of lore you'll learn along the way. Enjoy!
