FrameWork highlights the little things that make big differences in your favorite video games. New videos every other Wednesday at 2 PM ET! Created and produced by Tony Wilson.
The Many Monsters Of Bō: Path Of The Teal Lotus
Bō: Path Of The Teal Lotus is the debut game from Squid Shock Studios, who managed to successfully crowdfund it via Kickstarter. Full disclosure: I donated to that campaign myself.
The end result is a Metroidvania that not only looks beautiful, but also contains some brilliant ideas that combine traditional Japanese yokai with the mechanics and level design you’d expect from games in the genre. That’s what this video is all about.
If you want to play Bō: Path Of The Teal Lotus yourself, you have a few options. It’s available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

How Deadpool (The Game) Breaks The 4th Wall
Переглядів 1,3 тис.Місяць тому
For many comic book fans, Deadpool is most famous for his fourth wall-breaking shenanigans. Having a healing factor and a love of guns is one thing, but the merc with a mouth really makes his mark by cracking jokes directly toward the reader. So how does that work in a video game? That was the question High Moon Studios had to answer when developing it. Thankfully, the team managed to find a pa...
Donkey Kong ‘94: Nintendo's Surprise Remake
Переглядів 4972 місяці тому
Donkey Kong ‘94 is a classic, and it’s so much more than just a re-release of arcade Donkey Kong on the Game Boy. Nintendo really went the extra mile with this puzzle-platformer. I’d say it’s pretty much the company’s first remake. This video dives into the details of that, going overall the new puzzle mechanics and other fun features that make the game stand out. There are some unavoidable puz...
Down The Animal Well: An Analysis
Переглядів 3513 місяці тому
Animal Well, from solo developer Billy Basso, is a marvelous Metroidvania. Part of what makes this game so great is a series of deeper layers that more dedicated players can uncover. These mostly revolve around puzzles, but it’s also possible to project more meaning onto the game at a meta level. That’s exactly what I’m doing in this video. I wanted to talk about the animals in the game, so I n...
Fallout 3: To Bomb Or Not To Bomb
Переглядів 1,2 тис.4 місяці тому
Fallout 3 is a modern RPG masterpiece, but it wasn’t easy for developer Bethesda to adapt the pre-established franchise for a new generation. Luckily, one particular quest cemented the game in the minds of post-apocalyptic RPG fans at least it did for me. That’s thanks to a particular quest called The Power of the Atom, which tasks players with either fixing or detonating a live warhead in the ...

Sheng Long became canon when he was finally introduced as Gouki's and Gouken's master in Akuma's ending in the Street Fighter Alpha series. Complete with a portrait picture. He was a thinner younger master to Gouken and Gouki than Gouken was to Ken and Ryu. To me, Sheng Long in his SFA pic looked a bit like a pirate with a pony tail and missing teeth.
In the early 90s, mortal kombat (orginal one) had an unlockable secret character, reptile which was mix of scorpion and sub zero.
Lol the girl interview was cringe sorry
Hope you are on VGA again this week!
Got an ad for this game on the next short 💀
I wish the algorithm worked that well for me!
So is the logo just bomber man?
Need an astrobot smash clone
Ya just got to have the macdaddy dragon playa
Bloodborne is both a blessing to play, and a curse to complete.
If you were there, you are over 45, ya old f get off the net
I wouldnt be surprised if sushi x gets marked by the mob. Loool You helped ruin so many peoples gaming experiences. So many wasted quarters. Hes gonna get shot with a shotgun full of quarters
Shenlong means Divine Dragon, but Shen Long is Sensei Gouken
It wouldn't be till FF 14 we meet his papa.
0:00 Deep Jungle, really? They mean to each their own, but Deep Jungle, really?
I was Kid Tarzan's age when the movie came out, so it's pure nostalgia ;)
My fave is halloween town in kh2 the inclusion of Christmas Town made me smile so much
I have played so many Metroidvanias and yet I never get bored of them. These kind of games are what made me fall in love with gaming really. Def try Castle in the Darkness and Gunbrella if you haven't.
Gunbrella is great too! It has some really good world-building.
This is mindblowing! 👁 Good video
I have street fighter iv: arcade edition, and it has sheng long as a character.
mel isnt chell's mother where did you get that information
It's a mod, so it's not canon, but she's the protagonist there.
@@FrameWorkVideo yeah but it doesnt say anywhere that shes chell's mother
Los Angeles IS a ruined wasteland.
Fun fact, from the Japanese kanji, frenzy is insanity and insight is enlightenment.
And yet, arguably the best fallout game does even start in a vault
We did get Toy Story in Kingdom Hearts 3
Yeah eventually he is just saying that this world was scrapped before
i a huge bloodbourne fan and im still learning and discovering things in this game, thanks for the video mate, you have my sub
Thank YOU for watching!
Best decision they could ever take
So how much bethesda paying you to delete negative comments about them? Lol
bunny tattoo on the shaft and squirrel on the balls?
Insane how a graphics change would make a game
More art style than graphics but yeah the vibes are immaculate
Never ceases to amaze me Bloodborne
Bro i fr have only played new vegas
I'd say Hades 2 Hecate is almost a perfect recreation of Hecate from the myths. She's associated with crossroads. She's usually depicted as having 3 heads and bodies (the 2 copies during her fight). Her weapon of choice is torches and she summons witches during her fight. She can also cast hex to shapeshift Mel during the fight and she's also a subordinate of Persephone. A great representation on their part.
All these would be intellectuals obsessing over insight in a video game rather than real life. Game isn't a mystery. Read Kybalion, Oera Linde, and Bock Saga. Then study Bulshevik and French massacres. Beat for beat. The game is those things. Not Lovecraft. Ffs you morons are Micolash. Fishing Hamlet is inspired by the Vatican trip to Finland during 1050.
This how to make a real historical game Upisoft should learn from sega 😎
Just asking for honest opinions here .I absolutely love Fallout games Especially Fallout 3,4 and New Vegas..Been playing them for many years..I haven't watched one episode of this show yet..Will I be disappointed because I set high expectations for this show? Or am I missing something special here? How good do you rate this show so far? Please leave comments below.. Thanks
Speaking personally as a big fan of both the games and the show, I think it nails the tone and look (at least the look of FO 4) better than any other game adaptation.
@@FrameWorkVideo ok I will give it a try.. thanks
I stop watching as soon as people give Vaati a plug 🙄
Great video, fellow semi-frequent Vidjagame Apocalypse guest host! As someone who worked on this, it's fun to see so many new takes on this old game lately. Yours could very well be the most intelligent, and I really appreciate that. Thanks so much, too, for not pointing out its $100 million budget (that was never anywhere close to that -- but the internet says it so it must be true! 🙂).
Hey, thanks Chris! I want to say we might have briefly crossed paths in the Future building once back in the day as well, but maybe not. That was a decade ago now O_o
@@FrameWorkVideo Ha... I've never actually been the Future building, so that wouldn't have happened. 🙂
Scrapped content like this scares me in a weird way. Like I feel bad that their time was wasted. And game development is so strange in that it's sometimes less complicated to keep unfinished data in than take it out.
I hope they make a decent arcade mod like SSF4 at SF6. Untill now SF6 is BORING AF !!! and I'm TOTALY CONFIDEND that CAPCOM has..droped..the ball, DLC - NO serious ARCADE MODE- ONLINE CR@P THAT NOBODY CARES ! Has made competitive scene TO DIE OF BOREDOM !
Great video! Hope more people find your channel!
Thank you!
This was the moment I knew the show would be great
I remembere playing FF1, Bahamut was an npc asking you to obtain rat's tail. My point is that I didnt know that our character can advance job
Correction: I incorrectly state that the game released in 2014. The initial release was 2013. Don't let that affect your enjoyment of the video! ...and don't ask how I got my hands on a delisted game ;)
Obviously you bought a physical copy on disc. Duh!
LA looks a lot better after the blast
actually silver IS trunks. and is based on Future Trunks
Firion: Who's Bahamut? Our summon was a wyvern with no name that gives us a subpar flame attack.
That is very true I mean if you're very new to everything what would you expect you will not be an expert or professional
Using the Hunter Axe? This man is a man of culture
All my FromSoft builds are strength haha
I KNEW GUS' VOICE ACTOR WAS BLACK :D Idk i just guessed, I'm not racist
i’m not religious but i think if there is a god it’s something like a bloodborne boss. something we can’t comprehend and is beyond our realm of knowledge, if god was standing in front of you, you wouldn’t see anything because it’s so beyond us.
Im the first comment
