Today's faq has changed the necron stratagem that was giving the immortals devastating wounds, it now only works on cryptek and canoptek 'models' not units. Thank the GW gods 👀

Really great Battle report, but just a couple of notes: The exalted sorcerers can't use astral blast and the pistols because of the Pistol keyword, same reason warpsmite on the terminator sorcerer can't be used as well as his storm bolter.

Nice to see tsons on the channel. Btw soulreaper has ap1 and you would reroll the warpflame pistol because the rubric ability applies to the sorcerer too

The Technomancer did get his 5 up FNP.
Because shots all happen at the same time. So for the volley that kills the wraiths he gets it. Then when that volley is done he no longer gets it.

Good to see Magnus out again, fun BatRep! As you say though TSons defence not great, seems you almost need a 'Best defence is a good offence' mentality. Scarabs so expensive too, personally I'd drop 5 and bring 10 flamer Rubrics, attach an Exalted with Crystal and they can be a lethal T1 surprise!
Yeah going from having all is dust and armour of content to this just feels rough, yeah I totally agree, the price of terminators is just a little too much really, I'll try the flamers with Crystal next game for sure, leave that with me 👌
Yes they are really really expensive per wound for t4 3+ save models! I have run 10 terminators to a bunch of tournaments since the start of 10th and rate them quite highly, but you absolutely need to support them with Magnus' +1 to hit and wound and often remove saves. It's a heavy investment, but really reduces your reliability on a bunch of squads of 5 rubrics.
@douglas4285 yeah iv always rated sot's done really well with them myself last itc season! I just hate that tsons are now a one trick pony! And I hate that they don't have any defence against dev wounds. Can't wait to see what all our Detachments have to offer! 🙏
Good game :) Sam have you tried splitting the terminators into 2 squads of 5 to spread the hurt around more?
Cheers Andrew, yeah I do like the idea of 2 squads. The only issue with splitting it is when I put the reroll hit and wound strat on a unit I'd only get half the power out of it ☹️ but in 9th I used to run 2 units of 10 all the time and it was great fun, maybe try that for the next game!? 👀
The technomancer should have kept his feel no pain for those shots, the unit existed at the beginning of those shots. If he had survived and another unit shot then he wouldn’t have them
Also the nightbringer halves damage, so he should have only had to shrug 6 mortals
@brianbrown2587 yeah good point on the first comment cheers for the heads up, although I don't believe the ctan would halve the damage of a doombolt as mws are caused individually, it doesn't have a damage characteristic to halve like it would if they where dev wounds so I think that's incorrect.
@@dailydiceI think the mortals thing is an old rule, now that mortals don’t spill to other units I believe it’s one damage characteristic like Dev wounds, there is just certain things that provide fnps just to mortals.
@brianbrown2587 yeah it's in the rules commentary mate, mortal wounds and devastating wounds are two different things. Mortal wounds are still delivered one at a time and they do spill over
I think you played magnus way to conservatively the first 2 turns, he needs to be shooting and tryna charge stuff each turn.
Yeah that's true magnus is made to be in the thick of it, the problem was the necrons strat where you can't shoot them outside of 12" meaning I'd probably miss a turn of shooting, be stood mid board just to be charged in return by the nightbringer, I don't think in this case I had much of an option sadly
Having to constantly keep that strat in mind is a headache. Should be 2 cp. MIN. @@dailydice

Yeah you can shoot all the ranged weapons your model is equipped with 👍

If a model is equipped with one or more Pistols, unless it is a MONSTER or VEHICLE model, it can either shoot with its Pistols or with all of its other ranged weapons. Declare whether such a model will shoot with its Pistols or its other ranged weapons before selecting targets.
Anyway i did the same error last game.
Another error that i did, was to shot psy weapon with rhino deck2.
Because rhino haven't psyker keyword.
Necron are strong.tjey have a codex. We TS, have a few models...
