Goose Gossage (2007) Remembers Part 1

Interview of Feb. 17, 2007 with Hall of Famer Goose Gossage in Jamestown N.Y. He was a speaker at the annual Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame dinner. Gossage was a 9 time All-Star, Relief man of year in '78 and well as a member of the World Champion New York yanks that year.

Anyone else think the Yankees' hair rule is ridiculous? And the fact that it's still a thing is also ridiculous. A player's appearance has no bearing on their ability to do their job

I agree. I am with John Madden when it comes to a player's appearance. Madden only had three rules: 1) be on time 2) pay attention 3) play like hell He couldn't care less about hair length, facial hair, etc. None of that mattered nor should it.
