Just wanted to point out that the Serial connector is a DB 9 connector, not a DIN connector.

It should also be noted that if you are going to use the 422 port DOWNLOAD THE LATEST MANUAL. The first manual for this has incorrect pin outs! It has since been corrected. This port uses the professional Sony style SMPTE pinouts. So the type a JL Cooper controller etc would use.
I've been filming for years but this is my first time buying a switcher my question is would this be a good board to buy for a first time user? or should i go for the none pro version.?
Do you know how the Chromo Key works on this switcher? Does it key out Green or can you do black as well? been trying to figure this out and whether or not you can Tie it in when making cuts? Just can't figure it out. Thanks

This is the sales video I found from the old grass valley 300 switchers (offers an example) essentially you could have your pattern sway either up/down or left /right while it would transition from one shot to the next? Aside from the power setup what is the difference between the pro and non- pro version
Form factor (you have a full control panel and fader) and talk back on the back instead of the front. There are also audio controls on the pro version for up to eight channels. In addition, there are color correction controls and also built-in PTZ controls.
Thanks for the video. Can you clarify? Does the switcher actually PERFORM color manipulation (DaVinci style)? Or does the little trackball, etc, only COMMAND attached BMD cameras to perform the color manipulation in the camera? i.e. Does this color manipulation function work for non-BMD camera sources?
Indeed. Davinci is built into the cameras, not the switcher.
Help! Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio Pro ! multi view does not work!( that is, works partially!) shows markup red and green square switching between input channels also toggles, but there is no video itself ! that is, on the screen of the remote shows and sends a signal to the screen and sends AUX, everything works as it should, but multi view VIDOS does not send! what could be? who faced??? and still sometimes shows pink color reboot helps return black window!

I just received one and for some reason it won’t completely power up, I get lights inside the broad but the lcd won’t turn on and the set button on the upper right is on. Just wondering if have any idea what’s going on...? Thank you

Trel Evans that’s a valid question. There are a lot of features that are enhanced by pairing the ATEM with a computer, but We like to highlight that as a standalone switcher it still shines! There’s a misconception with some that you MUST use a computer to run your ATEM. That’s not the case.
Does it support a 4K preview monitor for 1:1 detail?

How to do Live Streaming on UA-cam using this ATEM Television Studio Pro HD
You will need an encoder.
So I have use Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder or Wirecast on the same PC Controller of blackmagic software? Then what about live recording? Do I need to have two PCs (One for Live streaming on UA-cam and another for Live Recording)? Thanks.
Germanto S it depends on the quality of your encoding equipment. You can also use a hardware based encoder.
