Not all UA-camrs have those positive qualities that would prompt a seller to ask for your phone number. You are polite, respectful and not always trying to beat sellers out of a dollar or two. John and Matt are also the same way.
Man Ben, you got the Mega load and a variety of great stuff. This seems to be one of your best hauls in the history of the RSR videos. Super job Ben. You have the Kool-aid grin on your face, very happy.
Found your channel from Vincent Valuables. $10 for three calipers? Nice. There was a red box sitting there that looked like milwaukee. Milwaukee tools are big $. Nice video. subscribed.
I just started UA-cam and I find the hardest part is walking around with the camera on and still having confidence. Your answers to why you wear it are spot on, I've been asked once so far in the past week and they completely understood. Some UA-camrs clam up and it makes them look suspicious. Stay positive brother!
Nice score on the Callipers... The digital one is from Harbor Freight. The best one is the analog rotary dial! Although you didn't see the name, it is on there somewhere. A true machinists caliper. The other two digital are made by the same company with different branding. Nice video.
Great finds! I went to an estate sale and struck up a conversation with the lady running it. This wasn’t a huge sale as we are in a small community. Turns out, she was looking for someone to help her with her sales! I do have a full time job and work 2 Saturdays each month but hopefully I can start helping her out. Thanks for all your great tips!
Really cool to see the kid from the Vincent's valuable channel bumping into you and showing a lot of respect you've taught many how to bank keep up the great work
I definitely believe in paying up on that first deal when you know it could be a good connection. I tell people what I do when I'm working my full time job, pest control, and I told this one guy what I did and he brought me a bag full of big box PC games. He told me that he use to own a PC store and has a lot more put away in storage. The bag had 14 games in it, he wanted $75, I gave him $100. I broke the ice and made a good relationship with the guy and he told me he'd call me when he goes back out to his storage.
tip on the wayne manor bat cave - you may want to take off all the removable pieces and sell them in a lot. You will likely get just as much as you would selling the whole thing, but the shipping cost will be much less since the pieces can go first class since you're not selling the giant "shell" that's left over.
-Linda- here (I'm using my husbands computer as mine is getting fixed.) been looking around YT and I heard about your Channel from a friend so I've been binge watching your Videos. I love your energy, fun spirit and honesty! So I SUBSCRIBED and joined your YT family! So cool you made a friend to pull off some Toy scores she did seem genuine to help you. I hope she comes through. Like your style.
Reminds me when I found a new in box large Epson old stock commercial printer 🖨 at a random thrift store for $40. Went to the thrift store while my wife and step daughter shopped at ulta make up store next door. At first I got in an argument with my wife when she saw a large box loaded up in her small suv. But it all changed when I sold it fast on eBay as soon as i listed it for $700.00 free shipping. Splurged some of the profits that same day at the mall and a fancy restaurant 😂.
I remarked in DM's about that printer when you showed the initial score on on the printer, on IG. Now, seeing the context in which you got it, and free paper to boot... when she said she got that FREE with a camera she bought -- I would have totally asked what camera she bought. I am familiar with the printer and it's value, but for those who might not know printers, you might know cameras or brands, and that too, might open some more doors.
Great start to the yard sale season back in Cincinnati. Yard sales have finally started in full swing here in Ky. Have been finding some solid items but nothing like that printer. Thanks for the videos, have learned a lot.
I would have to disagree on telling people your a re seller. i go to this little thrift store and got good deals right when i told her i was a re seller anytime i would start buying a certain brand or looking for a certain item. The prices were triple next time. Got some good deals at a garage sale. At the end told her i was a reseller and then she had a garage sale the next week. Then it became high prices and "well thats this much online" tryna charge 15-20$ for games selling for 12- 15$ online and somehow there worth 30$ each. In her mind atleast.
I do have 1 little non profit thrift store and the volunteer whos like the manager told him and he will tell me that theres this item or that. So it can workout but it really is iffy i try to feel people out before telling them
That was a crazy score.. I enjoyed seeing 2 of my resellers in 1 video.. So guys I am truly thinking of starting my own reselling on the side. Actually my daughter and I.. I'm excited to start this journey with my daughter. We have a lot to learn, but I will be watching n learning from the best.. thanks for sharing your treasures with us.. stay safe and God Bless.
ooh Thanks for the heads up. I need to learn dvds and blu rays more so I can spot them off the top of my head. Ill go back and pause the video to see which ones you are refering to. Thanks for the heads up!
@@ReadySetResell my best advice isn’t to focus on the title of movies but more by the label and studio. Boutique label blu rays can fetch 200+ bucks because they make limited prints

That's a good one. Hopefully you'll be able to find a local collector or something so you dont have to ship it out. I'm assuming its one of the large stand up ones?
When you go out garage Saling just a tip try not to tell them that your reselling on ebay etc because most of the time they will bump up the prices and go by ebay prices and you have a new subscriber now keep up the good work
I actually have the opposite experience. When I let people know I resell they understand I’m buying to sell and need a certain margin to actually purchases so a lot of time they will lower prices because they want to get rid of stuff and make the sale. I appreciate the sub 👍
When sourcing at garage sales, I don't like to tell people I'm a reseller. If they think I am buying for personal use, I think they give me a better price.
I find that when most people having a sale learn I’m a reseller they know that I will only be buying from them if the price is right. So they are more likely to work with me on prices and not try and sell me on the item based on personal use.
@@ReadySetResell I've done a lot of learning on DVDs lately. There's a lot of out of print stuff that can go for a good bit. There's a lot more than just those categories but they are a decent launching point.
"I offered more and paid up to gain her trust...So I offered her $25 ".....That A-team playset new in box goes for $300. $100 would have been a "Fair" offer....what a Rip.
This was over 3 years ago. And even in todays market it doesn’t go for anywhere near $700. The last one I see went for $300. You should really learn how to read comps before you speak. It ended up selling for $200 3 years ago FYI.
@@ReadySetResell my fault I was looking at A-team VAN comps. By the way glad you took the time to comment on a 2 year old video...pretty sure you have learned more along the way dealing in toys and Collectibles. Your area is stacked and loaded with stuff it's to bad you didn't grow up with the stuff to care to much about it...but hey if it's a cash cow...why not.
In my experience it’s the exact opposite. When people know you will buy only if you can make a profit they want to give you a good price so they can move the item.
I always wonder why a serious collector like that one would decide to sell their items in a yard sale. When someone has items that are 30+ years old but still new in package, you would think he knows there is a much bigger market for them outside of a yard sale. Oh well. Nice score. His loss is your gain.
this video shows that the reseller job is just one of information asymmetry- you make money by having more info than the seller. That's really the only main skill of this "job". Had that couple spent 30 seconds typing in the model number of the massive box they just wanted "gone" they'd see it was worth far more than $75. But not your job to inform them. But you hit the lotto, not because of your skill, but because of luck, luck that you find the 1/1000 garage seller couple that was too lazy to look up a model number. That's nuts. I must say as a reseller- you are lucky living in a tertiary city like Cincinnati- none of this would happen in a major city like NYC / Chicago / LA- where even the thrift stores try to sell at ebay prices.
The information is key 💯. But I’m not sure why you put “job” or “gone” in quotations. That’s exactly what those words meant. Also, while luck is defiantly a factor when it comes to what specific items are going to be out, the majority of this job is not luck dependent. It’s about knowing how and when to put yourself in situations and places to find stuff like this. And then having the knowledge to know what your looking at. Luck plays a small part but it’s defiantly not the main factor. Also, them not looking stuff up doesn’t make them “lazy” as you put it. They just wanted things out of their house they weren’t worried about getting top dollar. That’s not being lazy at all, it’s just a different motivation for having the sale. And lastly while I do live in Cincinnati I am 100% confident I could make a living anywhere doing this. For example I just got back from Charlotte where I started a store from scratch and was successful. Also, I have thrifted (and been successful in doing so) in both Chicago and NYC before and even videos of me doing it on this UA-cam channel. I 100% believe reselling can be done from anywhere you just have to educate yourself and gain the skills to be successful in your area.
My wife and I run a eBay store out of houston( one of the largest cities in the united states') that has before her full time job. What started as a fun way to spend time in the weekends with 200$ ended up being a full time (solid) income. We've been doing it for a little over 2 years and have grown from a corner of the 2nd bedroom in our condo to 800 sq ft inventory storage and a full office dedicated to listing / shipping items. Looking at leaving my job soon to join her full time. It's more than just something to look down on. Aside form everything her and I both learned we see it as just as much a service for the people we sell the item to as well. Can't tell you how happy people are who get that one thing there been searching for, the person who sells it is happy it's sold. Some people don't have the time or energy to put into it. It's crazy to say all he does is get lucky. If that were the case then the people or are successful would run out of luck. A ton of hard work goes into this, buying something is just the first part.

Great job!
