Today I wanted to do another no movement challenge where - well, we aren't allowed to move. Once. Never. For this I am using Bull, a character that should have a simple time - simple, not easy - as he kills enemies close to him, meaning you end up getting most material, and starts off with high armor, health regeneration and a very easy way to scale up damage. However, the big downside is that he is forced to get hit to deal damage, and has nothing to deal with ranged enemies.

Hey dex, u should really try balatro once its a deck building rogue like i think you’ll love. Its based on poker with different hands having different chips and mutlipliers and after every round theres a shop where u can buy jokers to get more chips money or multipliers, cards to upgrade a hand, cards which will do certain things like for example copying another card or even destroying 2 cards (if u want to get only kings for example you’ll delete everything except your kings) and alot more things its alot of fun and i think with the type of video’s u make itll be perfect

bull went up from 259 to 338 when you got explosive shells at 20:27
Underrated channel.
Think the +12% damage would have been better when you're at -25% damage than like +3 armour when you're already stacked for armour, but it wouldn't have made a difference; nicely done Dex!
Keep in mind Explosion Damage and Damage are added together. I don't know at what point that was, but as far as I remember I always had high Explosion Damage from items

You could absolutely do this on d5. Just need to get past wave 7 and role hordes. Between dodge and s, wave 7 isn't as bad as you think
I don't think that's accurate. The egg guys deal insane damage and should stay out of reach, meaning you have ~6-8 of them constantly striking you. Hordes would be on 11/12 the first time and maybe it would be possible with exactly the right items, but the flooding should kill someone 99% of the time, the waves bump up quickly in difficulty there, and getting insane spawn amounts makes it so much harder. Even here I only survived because of the healing brain one early on, I've attempted this a couple of times and always died without it. Like not saying nothing else can do the trick, but rather that the odds of getting through are already insanely low without Hordes, now you'll bump up enemy damage and HP by 40%
@@DexTag With your armor, you would be taking 5 damage from each slasher at wave 7. It's definitely a lot of damage, but this was also a fairly high-roll run. I appreciate that rerolling for perfect RNG isn't the best option, but this one ended up being pretty close. :)
As a side note, does lifesteal work on bull explosion? It's nowhere near as effective as HP regen, but theoretically a little lifesteal could help mitigate a point of damage for every explosion
@@dragonspight na, perfect is a really far stretch. Perfect would mean the equivalent of you choosing every single option, on that standard the run was at best a 10%, if even. Like even if something could only appear at a 0.23% chance, it would still appear every single time.
I will just go with the 7, but tbh that feels low for the strike and the Danger 5 +40% damage, but if that's accurate the run would be over on the spot. Even with 60% Dodge it would be over, it just takes a few hits at 43 HP. It would definitely be possible if played X amount of times, then even 1% Dodge could do it, but realistically speaking nothing that will be achieved ^^

Try the GMO overkill mod, and see if you can combine bull with another class to win on a higher difficulty.

Any other danger level is pretty much impossible. 2 already adds the elites which makes it impossible to survive them this early, it would work with resetting for Horde waves maybe, but I don't think its reasonable. 1 also adds a ton of strong enemies, like on 7 the eggs

how could you not take tyler or laser turret? wouldn't those be helpful as you can spawn and they shoot thing or does it not matter given how you are playing in this vid? figured they could be helpful vs long range
They cost a ton of money and without Engineering deal barely any damage, though even with damage it doesn't matter since they are random. They may spawn in a corner and do nothing, meaning it's not reliable, and the 1 thing you really want is getting to a point where you can one-shot enemies and/or outsustain them. Anything that keeps you further away from the goal - and doesn't help you survive temporarily to get there but has to be good enough to make up for the loss in material - is a waste.

I notice right after you picked up the etsy couch you passed up an item in the shop that gave -1 speed. I haven't finished your video yet. But after etsy couch -1 speed means hp regeneration with no downsides because you can't move. Plus whatever else the item gave as a bonus. I hope you don't pass up more -1 speed items.

That was a fun all no move run. How about a pacifist run, all move no attack.
Dex, can you try it on diff 5 but set (cheat) blast radius to max from first wave, to see if it is possible to win if you can kill eggs and range enemies?
Eggs and ranged easily, but it would reduce XP insanely. Elites would still nuke the char in 1-2 hits, which pretty much makes it impossible

I got a talent card that gives you -1% speed for every melee damage you have and it makes me so slow that I can’t even move and it’s basically bull but worse
