I'm a League lover first and foremost, by why do we think we can only support AFL or NRL? Baseball, NFL and the NBA all work, dont see arguments over people supporting other teams in different sports even in that divisive country. AFL had more states to contend with, whilst the NRL have a stranglehold on QLD and NSW so can pressure those states. I for one just can't wait til both AFL and NRL are back

They do tho. NBA and NFL are widely regarded as sports of colour and MLB and NHL the opposite.

Same! As an AFL diehard in Newcastle, I feel this divide as Newy is a rugby league heartland. I love watching knights games with my mates and they love watching Hawthorn and Sydney games. Why do we have to be divided? We are two entirely different sports, do we really have to constantly compare each other? I want to see not only AFL and NRL grow big, but the NBL, Ice Hockey and other sports grow big in Australia. The whole “Code War” is just media hype. Let us enjoy the sports we have in our country!

@@cognito8325 You're delusional. There's a lot of Black people in the MLB but most of them are Dominican. There's a few East Asians too. Nevertheless, literally nobody argues between those sports leagues. They just ignore it if they're not into it.

I agree with you but to play devil's advocate, they are both 'football' codes. The NFL, NBA and baseball are completely different sports, while AFL and NRL share quite a few similarities, and they both fall under the football umbrella. I personally watch both sports, but I can understand why it might be hard for some people to follow two different 'football' codes.

There is some speculation that some stadiums already rely heavily on recorded sounds. Often there is a massive roar immediately after a goal and you look around you and basically no one is saying anything, they aren't even clapping yet. So if it happens at the stadium anyway, then the tv channels can just plug into what the stadiums are doing.

The real differences between both Football Codes of Rugby League Football & Australian Rules Football which are'
(1 ONE) Rugby League Football is originated from England as an English Football Code from the North of England played mainly in both Lancashire & Yorkshire Counties and besides according to Wikipedia is that the Rugby league Football Code is being played in over (70 Seventy) Countries Globally Worldwide Internationally. But however, Papua New Guinea is the only country to have Rugby League as its National Sport (4 Four) countries - Australia, England, France, and New Zealand - have teams that play at a professional level. (45 Forty-Five) National Teams are ranked by the (RLIF Rugby League International Federation) and a further (32 Thirty-Two) are officially recognized and unranked. The strongest rugby league nations are Australia, England, New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga. Very Unfortunately & Very Sadly that there are only just (2 Two) Rugby League Football Confederations which are (1 ONE) ERL European Rugby League, (2 Two) APRL Asia-Pacific Rugby League. We do have both of the (NRL National Rugby League) in Australia & the Super League in both France & England especially the Rugby League Football Challenge Cup Finals as in other words Betfred Challenge Cup Finals being played at Wembley Stadium in London which is equivalent the same in the Soccer FA Cup Finals also being played at the very same venue of Wembley Stadium in London of course.
The Rugby League Football Code is the (3rd Third) World Cup Football Code behind both Soccer & Rugby Union Football Codes as far as the World Cups are concerned and Rugby League Football Code can also speak in either Some &/or Most Languages in Volumes and beside that the Rugby League Football Code is a Team Sport with a Participation Football &/or Sporting Code for all Men, Women & both Boys and Girls from all different age groups & various backgrounds and even also including the (LGBTIQA+) meaning Sexual Orientation/s People &/or Players as well too & also different levels of playing Starting from the Beginners to all the way to the top level/s of the Experienced.
Rugby League Football Code is also being played in all Schools, Colleges, Universities, Clubs, Social Community Teams &/or Clubs, & even been played in the Military Armed Services in either Some &/or Most of the Armies, Navies & the Air Forces around the World.
Rugby League Football Code is (NOT) any of as such, Olympic Sport at all, Commonwealth Games Sport at all but I hope that eventually that there will be a change to have &/or include the Rugby League Football Code to be added &/or included in both of the Olympic Games & the Commonwealth Games to join up along with both Soccer & Rugby Union Football in both of these Very Big International Sporting Events of course.
During the (2021Twenty Twenty-One) Rugby League World Cup, (IRL International Rugby League) chairman Troy Grant announced that he was pushing for a Rugby League Football (9 Nines) Tournament to be introduced to the (2032 Twenty Thirty-Two) Summer Olympics in Brisbane as well as a Wheelchair Tournament to be introduced to the Paralympics of course.
(2 TWO) Australian Rules Code is our very true National Football Code of Australia being played all over Country Rugby The Australian Rules Football Code again can also speak in either Some &/or Most Languages in Volumes and beside that the Australian Rules Football Code again is also a Team Sport with a Participation Football &/or Sporting Code for all Men, Women & both Boys and Girls from all different age groups & various backgrounds and even also including the (LGBTIQA+) meaning Sexual Orientation/s People &/or Players as well too & also different levels of playing Starting from the Beginners to all the way to the top level/s of the Experienced.
Australian Rules Football is also being played in all Schools, Colleges, Universities, Clubs, Social Community Teams &/or Clubs, & even been played in the Military Armed Services in all of the Army, Navy & the Air Force in Australia.
& according to Wikipedia in the title heading of (Geography of Australian rules football) says that Australian rules football is played in more than (60 Sixty) Countries Globally Internationally Worldwide. By (2017 Twenty Seventeen) more than (26 Twenty-Six) Nations (excluding Australia) had contested the Australian Football International Cup, the highest level of Worldwide Competition. But however, there are (5 Five) AFL Confederations which are, (1 One) AFL Europe, (2 Two) AFL Asia, (3 Three) Africa, (4 Four) North America, (5 Five) AFL South Pacific. & besides that, there's an Australian Rules Football organization in Melbourne, Victoria called the (AFI Australian Football International) and according to their Website Page is that they do have (7 Seven) Confederations which are, (1 One) AFI Europe, (2 Two) AFI Asia, (3 Three) AFI Africa, (4 Four) AFI Pacific, (5 Five) AFI USA, (6 Six) AFI Latin America, (7 Seven) Olympics. The information on their (Australian Football International) says
(Olympic Footy) FOOTY 9s Nines AT THE OLYMPICS
AFI’s long-term objective is to secure the inclusion of Footy 9s Nines at &/or in the (2040 Twenty Forty) Olympic Games.
We know this is not going to happen overnight, and a lot of hard work must be done to achieve this goal. Other sports, however, have shown that it can be done.
We are keen to follow in the footsteps of Rugby 7s Sevens, which is now an Olympic sport after making its debut at the (2016 Twenty Sixteen) Olympic Games in Rio in Brazil.
Footy 9s is similar to Rugby 7s Sevens, in that an immediate connection is made to the sport, with added reference to the number of players on the field.
The sports market is changing. Sport climbing, skateboarding, surfing and even breakdancing have also been included in the Olympic Games in recent times.
Further, the (2032 Twenty Thirty-Two) Olympic Games in Brisbane are a tremendous opportunity to see Footy 9s Nines included as a demonstration sport & also including our Rugby League Football 9s Nines, as well too of course.
Just simply because even that our Australian Rules Football Code is being played in more than (60 Sixty) Countries Globally Worldwide Internationally as such it DOESN'T Mean it's a World Cup Football Code at all & also DOESN'T Mean even to make it an Olympic Games Sport at all & finally DOESN'T Mean &/or make it a Commonwealth Games Sport at all either of course.
