truly the GOAT coach, Bennett being a close second ofc but the way Bellamy has been able to keep reinventing his teams over the years after losing the big three is incredible
@@benoh8321I think overall Bennett is a better coach coz along with club success he has had success in Origin, won a world cup in 2008 as an assistant coach with underdogs New Zealand, and put up a very good fight as head coach in the world cup final in 2017 with England against Australia.. and he could have easily won his 8th premiership with a 3rd different team with Souths last year.. but if we are just talking about club completion then Bellamy is better..
@@WHA24 But he had to rebuild from scratch, how is that not the same? Then he won the premiership the year after in 2011 and the GF in 2012. Bennet is never pulling that off.
Love him or hate him, Craig Bellamy is one hell of a coach........500 games and a %70 win rate is undeniably a massive achievement considering he has been at the club from its infancy. I tip my hat to you Craig, well done and congratulations
500 games %70 win and an unlimited salary cap, the percentage should be higher than that. Hahahah jokes 😂 But, he’s an awesome coach, awesome to listen too..
Just such a down to earth guy who has such a simple approach to everything in life. Amazing to think that doing the simple things so well can lead you to such success
Craig being so surprise and genuinely sad about Wayne leaving Broncos because "That was his club" . . . No wonder he didn't leave Melbourne, that's his club, that's your club Craig. Nothing but absolute love and respect for this man.
Bennett never left Broncos, he was pushed out the first time and won a Premiership with St. George and was sacked the second time. If he had a choice he would have retired there as a Coach but not for Three Wise Men as Wayne puts it.
Another great interview Matty, as a player a fan and a lover of the game, I can only thank Craig for the open and honesty and sharing himself to us. Thanks boys great job by both of ya.
Craig is simply the greatest club coach ever in Rugby league. There is so much respect around him it's why the Storm are the finest NRL side ever. Craig keep going your the best😈🤘⚡
Biggest advice I got from a coaching mentor was you don’t really coach the great players, you just try to help them as much as you can by preparing the team and in the clutch moments they pull the team through
What an achievement, also it's so good to see that Craig enjoyed his time at the Broncos under Wayne, it's crazy to think how he was also involved with players like Tallis, Langer, Renouf etc. That would have been an amazing group at the Broncos and would most definitely destroy the comp if Wayne and Craig were to coach together again (under the might Broncos). But it's Walters time to shine now for the Broncos, and I reckon he'll make the Broncos proud. Three favourite coaches, Wayne, Bellamy, Walters
For the first time I have actually enjoyed any interview where it involves Bellamy. For some season I have never taken to Craig, not that I don't think he is a great coach, I think he is one of the best. You see I have always followed Wayne Bennett through out his career as a coach and followed every team he has coached. I have always regard Wayne as the best mentor first and foremost and Coach second with the greatest brain. He doesn't always share his coaching skill to every coach that have coached under him but I believed he shared a lot of his knowledge to Craig, regarding coaching and I felt Craig has never thank Wayne enough or appreciate what Wayne has given him regarding being a million dollar coach. Ever since Bennett won that 2006 Grand Final against Craig, they have never seen eye to eye. This interview is the first time I have heard Craig giving Wayne so much accolade, even if it was a long time coming. Great interview Mat
Personally, I've seen Craig give Wayne credit plenty of times. I'm someone who watches pre and post game interviews, maybe you don't? The only time you really hear about their relationship in the media is when they don't see eye to eye, but they often praise each other like 85% of the other time lol. Really happy this gave you a better perspective of Craig.
@@grantisshananaa4906 Bellamy unfortunately ruined the sport of rugby league by introducing his little wrestling tactics, i like the man but not the coach. its a shame the sport has been reduced to a wrestling match instead of a football game, this is why Bellamy failed as a state of origin coach.

Great interview, but no comment on the salary cap scandal? Let bygones be bygones, sure, but would have loved some open and honest discussion as the whole ordeal is actually really interesting.
There have been 2 types of coaches in the past. One that is about to be sacked and the other being one that has just been sacked. There is now a 3rd...Craig Bellamy.

In a Rugby League payers poll an overwhelming 49% of players voted for the Storm as the dirtiest team in the competition. At least you can say none of the Storm players actually come from Melbourne. Or anywhere in Victoria for that matter.
