I used this pattern to make a pig for my mom for valentines day, it was so easy to follow! it also helped me to mark the first chain pf every round so i knew where the "fake" chain was.

Loving your channel Laura. I’m 74 from UK and newbie to crochet, struggling with lockdown. You have a lovely clear english voice and clear instruction. (U.S. contributors - of anything - so long winded!) I finally did your daffodil - after many mistakes! and now doing your lovely piggy. Many thanks.

Made my first pig, which was the hardest project yet for me since all I’ve ever known how to do was granny squares. It turned out really cute! Thank you for your wonderfully clear tutorial!! I can’t wait to try the sheep!!🙂

I have made this little guy a few times. He is my very first crochet animal! All my nieces want one, so I have about 3 more to make. Love the whole body w/ integrated ears, so easy following you. I really struggled with the legs, they are so tiny, but after lots of practice they are getting better. Thanks for this tutorial! Keep it up :)

Thank you so much for this! I made it and it came out absolutely adorable!! You explained some things I've never really understood (like the fake stitch and chain one that you skip). I can't tell you how many projects I've done on here that haven't turned out, and now I know why! Not to mention that you go nice and slow and that really helps! I can't wait to try some of your other cute little projects!! Thank you again!

I agree. I've always crocheted the "fake stitch" thinking it was one I had to stitch. So that is new to me too. I see this post is 3 years old! So, ToBelongNowhere, you must be an expert by now!!! SMILE!

I had SO much fun. I am a beginner, just started at the beginning of March. My piggy turned out so much larger than your little piggy and the legs turned out a little wack-a-doodle (so he's sitting instead of standing) but I love him just the same. Can't wait to make some more.

🎄🎄🎄Thank you so much for this tutorial!!! I made a black piggy for my granddaughter. She wanted a real one and since we can't have one, I made her this instead. The instructions were so easy to follow. I can't wait for her to get it when she comes home after the new year! It's going in her Christmas stocking 😁
BTW, it was hard seeing the stitches because of the color. I'm happy I finished it though. Thank you so much. I hope that you had a Merry Christmas!!!

I'm more used to knitting than crochet, but I just finished my first pig! The yarn I was using made it kinda difficult, but the way you said your instructions made it so easy! Thank you!!
Edit: Quick question; is it possible to adjust the pattern of the nose so you can make a bigger pig? I love the way this one looks!
Edit 2: The answer to the nose question is yes! Also I like the way you did your feet/ legs so I'm using that method for another project I'm working on.

This is wonderful. You are so clever! I've made the perfect little pig body. The only problem is I've now made eleven legs and they're all terrible, gappy, mishapen stumps. Do you have any suggestions for making it slightly easier? It's the fact the five stitches only take up half the round I think, then getting the slip stitch back into the first sc is difficult and then closing up that huge gap with it just isn't working. I'll keep trying but I keep thinking maybe I could do something different? I did work a stitch into the fake stitch on the last one of the eleven which helped a bit but I could maybe do with some advice. I also did manage to get the chain ring closed at the beginning but that hasn't changed things much. Hmm. Do you think a couple more stitches might help? I'll probably try that tomorrow and see. I've been making rubbish legs for 3 hours and now it's 2.40am. Oops! 😂
