Ok, so you say it’s in the first octave. All the vocal coaches and professionals say Dimash has more than 6 octaves. There are 88 keys on keyboard.and in unforgettable day he hit a D8 which is the note off the keyboard on the top. The D is the note and the 8 is in the 8th octave. So something doesn’t jive. If he hit a not in the first octave and D the second note in the 8th octave his range has to be at least 7 octaves.. Something is not right. Also when he did the China show he hit the bare tone notes but I never heard the vocal fry that is in this song and other songs since. I believe he is getting better. He is still studying and still has a vocal coach. And Igor is writing him songs that are have a more challenging range. I’m not a musician but something doesn’t add up about the way the vocal coaches are calculating his range.
i think the first octave & somewhat the 2nd octave is considered a vocal fry. i think that vocal fry technically isn't apart of your vocal range. so you would count the first note that isn't vocal fry up until his D8 i believe.
