Not necessarily, you can always adjust for a smaller guitar. Practice, efforts, and dedication is the key. Bonus thing, don’t rush to play things take it slowly first then adjust the speed through time. You must love what you are doing, to be as good as you want..
I don't know anything about guitar I play tabla and I have very long fingers as you mentioned. Does it mean I'd be able to play guitar better?

I’m still learning to arrange things myself, and just when I thought I did a decent job Andrew makes me wish to burn my guitar.
