Great setup there! Thanks for showing us. I did the same thing when gyms closed during the virus pandemic, bought used cast iron plates and dumbbells at garage sales and other outlets. It's great having a home gym if you have the space.
Bro this power rack with cable pully system for free weights good incline bench like iron master with leg curl extation and you dont need more for life iron master are best for small spaces l never se nothing at this level like irom master rack and bench for small rooms and this bench have what others do not have, you can adjust it to any height and body type or even more, you can always feel rows or presses very well on it, unlike those that normal incline benches you can have such an incline that you have a chees at the end of the bench on only pecs on it very good for spider curls too and rows I have tried all home gym equipment for 25 years of training and this iron master system is top 1 there was nothing better
Buy used, cheap, rusty weights. Soak them in Evaporust, then quickly repaint them with something like Rustoleum Stop Rust. Now you can afford the home gym you've wanted.
I have the Ironmaster bench with the dip, leg curl attachment, chin up bar, and crunch attachment and love it. Don't have room for the cable attachment otherwise I would have gotten that as well
@@shish_taouk that is true. I have the pulldown against the wall and the low row going into the room. While I can still use the high pulley for pulldowns, I can't use it for tricep work, which may be important to some people. I have other cable machines for that so it doesn't bother me, but it could impact functionality for some people.
Great video. Great and inspiring home gym for people who want it all but with limited space. Thank you. I have recently bought a new bench with slots for additional features including the leg extension/ leg curl and I am really happy with the new setup so it's motivating to see someone as advanced as you going in the same direction.
Nice! My home gym setup is very similar! My rack doesn’t have the smith machine bar in it, unfortunately. I also have a trap bar and a Swiss bar! It’s so nice having it all in my spare bedroom.
Video request, about training small muscles (rear delt, forearms, calves abs) especially for beginner and intermediates (1 to 5 year lifting) who doesn’t want to skip them but do not want to under or over do them. I have seen someone do 20 sets of abs a week, and others who skip them entirely. I personally do 3 for rear delt and forearms, and 6 for abs and calves, but not sure if I should increase forearm/reardelt.
I do 4 direct sets for rear delts and abs. Rear delts get a lot of stimulation from upper back rows imo. I don't do any forearm direct forearm work besides reverse curl and hammer curls.
Thats a nice set up! Mines not as fancy 😅.... Im just about over an injury here and looking to get back to training in the next 2 weeks.... I've got your latest training program, but I'm going to start on the 3 day mass gaining program first to get started and as I've no cable machines in my home gym 💪🏻😎
@williamnewsome5169 the old program only needs one exercise changed to a chin up so all good there. I'll will be saving up some cash and more than likely copy this set up here, then mover to Peters newer program and do the 5 day training, once I'm fully back to normal with my tendon damage of course 💪🏻😁
Why the separate lat tower instead of another piece of equipment since the movements can be done on the im2000? Btw, you should consider the standing preacher attachments for the rack as well. Very well mad and super effective
Thanks, Pete! It appears you have a good eye for quality and functionality. Could you provide an approximate cost for someone wanting to duplicate your setup?
Primarily because he has put in the time.20 plus years I believe and no bulging veins or muscle over muscle like a plastic surgery body type job as is the look when one is using steroids

They are very solid. Planning on having them for a lifetime
Appreciate the transparency

This is basically the same stuff i have at home that i trained with for years before ever setting foot into a gym.
This is really all anyone will ever need to build a physique...
yep but you could go even more bare bones since home gyms tend to get expensive fast
