It’s sad how kids these days will grow up thinking OKC Melo was what he was. This made had 13 year stretch of averaging over 25 and was one of the greatest scorers of his generation. It shows how great he was that he was able to last 17 years in the league. Even with the stints in OKC/Houston, he averaging over 24/8 for his career.

P J he ain't starting because his iso style doesn't fit the modern style of play which is team ball, if you're gonna be a starter with a iso style of play in the league you have to be nice on offense and defense. His style would be extremly efficient coming off the bench whenever a team needs a bucket to stop a run.

I want to say something after watching Melo interview on first take. There are couple things that happened which I didn’t know about it at that time. Like Melo was saying, if he didn’t sign for nuggets. It could’ve been him, Lebron and Dwade playing for Miami instead of Bosh. If that happened, I don’t think Miami would have lost that 2011 final against Dallas. Cause say what you want about Melo, but he has that cold blooded closing out games in him. He would’ve came up clutch in that series.

Even if it had been Melo, Bosh, LBJ it would have been unstoppable. Wade and LeBron both needed the ball and mainly scored attacking the basket. Melo could knock down any shot and he’d for sure have plenty of open looks.

Malaokauai Melo has shot 40% last two seasons. Harden has shot a little over 44%.
For his career, Melo shoots about 45%. Harden still at 44. But, Harden shoots about 4 more threes per game, making him MUCH more efficient. While averaging twice as many assists over their careers and nearly two more free throws a game.
In 17-18, Harden made 8.7 FT per game. Melo was at 1.9.
So, basically, even if they are somewhat similar, Harden is an almost immeasurably more efficient player

@@Nukedisaster1986 I disagree.. most of these highlights especially the Atlanta one was only 4 months before the okc season... add the fact that he went from 15 years avg 20+(him,Kareem,Jordan and Lebron olny) to swiftly becoming the 4th option(not 3rd) is hard for anyone..he touched the ball less...he shot less.. he's a rhythm player.. he has to touch the ball and shot to find a rhythm.. in okc he had no rhythm accept only a few games here and there.. Shaq said the same thing about Houston, he actually said Houston wouldn't workout cuz Harden wouldn't let him touch the ball enough to get it goin
