The composer of this song, George Wilkins, recently passed away at the age of 90, alongside a legacy of composing hundreds of other songs for Disney World (like Living Seas, the entire soundtrack for Horizons, Test Track 1.0, etc.). May he rest in peace knowing his legacy will live on in his music, which still continues to play in this ride.

Makes me miss the 1990s disney. Seeing disney today just brings a tear to my eye. This theme makes me remember 90s when disney was truly magical.
This also reminds me of when the magic kingdom was truly magical. Sadly that magic is gone forever except in our hearts.
RIP George Wilkins
Can anyone please tell me the name of this song?! I’m dying to know it.
We’ve Come So Far by George Wilkins
I’ve seen it referred to as Spaceport Seven-Five
space mountain entrance music
This sounds like music coming back from a long war
When I go on, it is returning from a long war, known as life.
