This gave my parents nostalgia when I played it out loud once. They worked and met at Space Mountain back in the late 80s.
Tom Nolan some people propose in the space mountain lines though, I went on for my first time a few weeks ago and someone a few rows in front proposed
The Imagineers are awesome when it comes to attention to detail in the queue areas, but the music in this one is extraordinary.
It is a version of a movement from Le Carnaval Des Animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) entitled "Aquariums" By Camille Saint-Saëns. Beautiful piece of Romantic music.
And instead of it being in a minor key for the most part, it was turned major.
@@theUnholyStIkKiLA I definitely agree with you- this is a beautiful piece
I can smell the air. It smells like childhood.
Yes you can smell the air. In fact, in multiple areas in each of the parks they will shoot out scents in the air which will trick the mind into wanting more. For example, on main street USA beside the ice cream parlor they will shoot out vanilla scent. Near one of the clothes stores in downtown Disney they shoot out leather and fabric scent. Not really sure if they had any scents in space mountain, but if they did it would probably be a sort if metal smell. It's amazing how far some companies will go just to squeeze a few more bucks out of you.
Okay no more redbull THATS NIT THE POINT…sorry don't mean to me rude lol. When I went there I also smelled waffles pumping out into the streets
This song is... perfect.
It fills with happiness, but sadness.
Nostalgia, and something new.
You can see yourself in line, yet you’re at home.
You feel giddiness, but you’re calm.
All these feeling in, one song.
I could not have said it better myself. a perfect description of everything this song makes me feelL.
Seriously, that's how I felt when I first heard this song 9 years ago in Senior high.
I love this music with the background noises that sounds like shooting stars. I can't find anything else like it!
Ray of light album by Madonna is what you want for music that sounds like this lmao
Plantasia by Mort Garson has this exact vibe. If you're into Epcot Future World/Tomorrowland soundtracks that's a jackpot for you.
I went on this in 2012 and had not been there since 1993. After about a minute of listening to this music while in line, it all came back and it was like I was back in 1993 with my Dad. Amazing how music you haven't heard in 20 years can do this.
This song brought me to tears. I remember the first time I heard it when I was 7 years old. Now I'm 18. And I've grown to like other things and forgot about my childhood. This reminds me of happy, care free days where all I cared about was meeting the characters in costumes and playing with toys. What I would do to be 7 years old for just one day...
LMFAO child your still in your childhood. you havent even known the harshness of Adult life yet. just wait kiddo just wait.
What I would do to be 18 years old for just one day...
I'm 26. Life gets rough. Enjoy being young.
sumdrumbum I'm 28. What I would give to be 26 again. Enjoy your mid 20's.
I have been going since I was 2. I am only in my early teens but I still think of the days when I was so scared of this ride. About when we would get almost through the tunnel I would chicken out. The good old days.
One of my favorite songs in the Disney parks....
Who Am I
Same. I remember that I half-wished my family and I didn’t get fast-passes just so I could wait in line and listen to this song.
I was listening to this with earbuds and my friend tapped me on the shoulder asking if I was okay. As it turns out... I was crying.
Edit: The music wasn't making me sad. I just have such an emotional tie to this place that just hearing the music tears me up.
Same, I have this on loop on my phone on more than one occasion just because it gives me such a good feeling every time I listen to it.
This music just really makes you want to be here, especially as a Disney world freak as I go every year 😂
I feel cold just listening to this. The AC is always WAY too high in Space Mountain.
mariosbrother Yeah but even as cold nature as I am I always welcome its cold embrace! It feels so refreshing after being out in the Florida Sun. 😄
mariosbrother its meant to be cold like in space anti coolant you know
Just... Imagine a dark, cold, and relaxing place with this music.
The best ride in Disney Space Mountain will never forget this song and it makes me wanna cry cause of happiness.
I don’t comment on videos but this one deserves a comment.
I’ll never forget after my first “adult” trip coming home and hearing this
Memories came rushing in, a flood of emotions overcame me.
Filled with Joy, excitement, wonder, and sadness.
Sadness that despite this song bringing me a piece of that magic, it was still so far away.
When I finally went back I didn’t run through the line, I instead stopped right underneath that first tunnel and stopped for a moment.
In that moment I felt at peace.
Does anyone else get majorly Disney sick and constantly have to listen to all of the songs that played in the parks? It's only been like 4 months since I was there but I miss it SO much!!
Avery Chatfield it’s literally been a day since I went and here I am.
Does Anyone just feel like they ever just wanted be forever feel like a kid and just be a kid and go to disney and you didnt have to care about anything in the world? and is it just me or this music just makes me so sad and how my life was amazing, and i just absolutely loved this ride and my mom used to take me on it all the time and i loved it so much and now everything is just so changed and different and i miss the old times and i love this ride and this just gives me a sad but happy nostalgic happy feeling inside
I rode this for the first time in 8 & a half years yesterday. When I reached the star tunnel area of the queue line I teared up. Nostalgia hit me like a train here.
ThatIntaminGuy I was just there two weeks ago, and I got chills the moment I heard the music. It's been over 10 years since my last visit. Went with my mother and sister. I liked it so much I almost want to go again before next year ends, even if I'm alone.
Governor Megachris% When did you go to Disney? I went on 12/1 - 12/4.
ThatIntaminGuy I literally just got back to Texas from Disney world today. Yesterday was my first time riding Space Mountain. Definitely some of the most fun I've had in a very long time. This music makes me want to go back already!
+ThatIntaminGuy I went from December 3rd to the 9th. From Texas as well like +Coleto Creek Rail Productions here. What a good trip. I'm really wanting to go back the more I think about it...without a 5 year old nephew that's too scared to ride anything (my poor sister, we had to swap single rides so someone could watch him while we rode the cool stuff)!

Makes me tear... And I don't even know why
Before the 2009 refurbishment, this used to play in the people mover as it was passing through the lift hill bay. I miss that sound.
Yeah wtf why am I tearing up from the music that plays in the line of a roller coaster
one of my favorite songs. this portion of the queue with this music and low lighting makes me feel like I'm dreaming. also makes me think of astronauts laughing and doing flips as they float around the space station and are looking down at earth in wonder.
fuels my depression and nostalgia
lacegirlrocks it does mine as well. It's so addictive, makes me wish I were in Disney World right now.
This song really brings out my depression at what "could have been." I went last December with my family to Disney. First time in 15 years or so for me. As I was going down Space Tunnel, I got a voicemail from my then-girlfriend that said she loved me very much and missed me, and couldn't wait for me to get home. Soon after the trip, she broke up with me. That was when I was truly happiest, and it's hard hearing this music without thinking of her. We briefly had planned a trip to DW together after I returned home, and then she was gone, just like that.
I love when the line is over an hour, the music makes it nice, plus with the new renovations it's really interesting.
ALL RISE AND HOLD YOU KNUCKLES TO YOUR CHEST WHERE YOUR HEART IS AND PUT YOUR HAND TO YOUR FOREHEAD AND STAND FOR THE TOMMOROWLAND INTERGALACTIC EMPIRE ANTHEM...
I PLEDGE ALEGIENCE TO THE INTERGALACTIC TOMORROWLAND EMPIRE. BRAVE AND PROUD. FOR TECHNOLOGY WE WILL ADVANCE. ONE MAN AND WOMAN AFTER ANOTHER TO MAKE THE FUTURE A REALITY
+roflcopters270 Beautiful 👏👏👏💙 blue hearts are the heart of Tomorrowland
+JB Creeper King Thank You so much I came straight from my space loving heart
I love when you're walking through the beautiful dimly lit halls of this beautiful ride. The feeling of excitement mixed with pure awe is what this soundtrack reminds me of, and it's great.
There's something about this song it makes me feel like I'm alone but with hundreds of people. Like day goes to night. Like I completed something. It's like this is happiness but it's obviously temporary.
More like night goes to day, it feels like the accomplishment of something great, the finale of the best, leading to the start of something new, not afraid of the future, but thankful for the past that brought you here. THe constant onward motion of life, like the roller coaster itself, escalting until the big drop, it then becomes a fast whirlwind, and, before you know it, you've reach the end. so take some time, stand in the queue. listen to the music, enjoy life before it becomes too fast to manage, to intense and chaotic to remember, enjoy yourself, because you'll soon be on life'S roller coaster, and there's only one, so make it the best.
Sometimes I miss being a kid... now is one of those times
+Noah Burnett When I was in grade school, I remember I always wanted to be older. Now I regret saying that because time flew by and now I am in college with so much responsibility and obligations. I wish can relive my childhood... T.T
+Joseph Mendoza 15 YEARS OLD I WANT TO BE YOUNGER WHEN NO ONE JUGDED
Don’t ever delete this video. This makes me feel something just is just so comforting
When I told my friends I was a disney nerd they didn’t believe me. Needless to say after I played this in the car & cried from memories.. they believe me now.
I play music from theme parks/select video games and TV shows all the time. I find it perfectly normal! Nerds unite
this music makes me SO HAPPY
this is honestly one of my favorite rides to wait in line for in disney world just because of this relaxing mystical music playing. It puts your body at ease somehow idk!!
Yeah. I really wish Brian Eno would make his own version of this...
I finally got my lifelong dream of going to Disney World fulfilled in February. One of the first rides I got to ride was Space Mountain, which I personally think was better than the one in Disneyland, which I frequently visit, and one of my all-time favorite rides. It hasn't even been half-a-year since I left and I still deeply miss Disney World, Space Mountain, and this extraordinary music...
As a Floridian who live likes 40 mins. away from Disney, I go one average every two weeks to a Disney World park, yet I've never been to Disneyland. I honestly don't feel like I miss much. However, I still would love to visit Disneyland.
Just came home yesterday and we went to magic kingdom yesterday and we were about to leave because it said that space mountain (my favorite ride ever) was shut down on the app, we went over there to check before we left and it just opened and we just walked on🤗
This is one of 4 classic tracks that were played upon entry/exit of Space
Mountain... also what we used to hear when riding through on what was Tomorrowland transit authority!
This sounds exactly like the desolation of space. This song always made me imagine myself as an astronaut on a spacewalk, floating in the desolation of space, with meteors passing by occasionally.
I first rode Space Mountain in 1992 as a 13 year old in Disney World (Orlando, FL), with a group of friends from my school. It was a wonderful experience and I remember hearing this same exact song while waiting for the ride. I rode it with a very kind woman who was the mother of one of my good friends at that time, quite a while ago. We had a blast. That kind lady is now gone to heaven and so are the early 1990s but I remember how awesome they were. So happy to have lived through those times as a teenager. Now 41, I have those awesome memories. Thank you Mr. Disney.
I currently work for the mouse. Best job anyone could ever ask for. I am a lifeguard coordinator at typhoon lagoon. Come say Hi!
gives me chills listening because i love and miss the place so much.... for as long as i can remember I've gone on this ride over and over and through all the changes I'm glad they still have this music because it is one of the best parts to the ride...
reminds me of how a few hours ago i failed the space portion in my science exam....love space mountain though
It was 2003… I was just a 1st grader… it was raining and cold, the whole Tomorrowland looked like one big glowing neon getaway. My father grabbed me by the hand and said “let’s go on space mountain.” This music speaks a thousand words ❤
When I was younger, this was my absolute favorite ride at Disney World, and whenever we went through the Star Tunnel, I'd always cry from how beautiful this song is. This music always made me cry for the longest time, and listening to it again for the first time in a while, it feels like I might shed a few tears now.
Listening to this song now, I go on a trip down memory lane. All of a sudden, I'm not a 20 year old college kid who has to constantly worry about schoolwork and everyday issues, I'm a quiet elementary school kid, times are simpler, and life's a breeze. Walking down the Star Tunnel, trying not to shed tears because of this song, but I'd almost always give in and let a few tears fall. Then I come up to the ride, and get on the rocket for just a couple of minutes of pure fun. But for those couple of minutes, I'm free from the outside world, living my little life to the fullest, and not giving a care in the world about anything else.
While we're not getting any younger, but we can still live our lives to the fullest, and we all should. Because one day, we will look back and be able to happily reminisce on such awesome times and consider ourselves grateful to have been able to live our lives to the fullest, even if it was just for a couple of minutes. :)
Space Mountain is now my new favorite roller coaster in the world after I rode it about 3 weeks ago, even finding out that is only goes 28mph and is only 60ft high!!! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is almost double its height!!!
I listen to this while studying astronomy... it helps a lot.
My son says he wishes they kept this music. 😭😭😭 it’s truly unique and identifiable!! It would be nice to bring it back.
I was in line with my buddy pal (my dad) so nervous and excited to ride this ride when I was seven.
It was magical, cold, and it felt like I was really in space.
I screamed my head off on this ride for my first time.
I was in the front of the rocket, my dad behind me.
I felt the cool wind in my hair while we went through the blue galaxy scene.
I waved up above at the two astronauts up in space.
Smiled at the camera so excited and happy.
So many memories from 5 years ago.
But yet this ride still makes me fell that same way as before. Happy and excited!
I love listening to this song during heavy snow fall it's really relaxing
Why is this not on iTunes?
Copy the link for this video on clipconverter.cc and download it to MP3, which will put it in iTunes form.
when depressed listen to this it always brings happiness
Actually crying rn:
This reminds me of my trip to WDW back in December. I HAD a fear of roller coasters and the first ride we rode the WHOLE ENTIRE DAY was this one. My dad made me go on it. I had an anxiety attack waiting over here, and right when I got on the ride, I knew I was gonna love it. And now it’s one of my favorite rides at WDW. And I’m not afraid of roller coasters anymore!
Walking through the lines to get to the ride was tough and long. But listening to this in the background made it actually feel like I was going to space. THANK YOU DISNEY
Ive ridden space mountain twice. once when i was 12 and once when i was 18. I have nostalgia for both times for different reasons and this brings me back to both those times. Its crazy how ive ridden rollercoasters over 300 feet tall, and rollercoasters that go upside down 7 or 8 times and this is still one of my favorites, theres just something special about it.
It's like this theme was made for being nostalgic.
I'm totally not crying.
this is the song to listen to when you go star gazing
This is surprisingly relaxing XD
+Dragonrider1227 this also reminds me of the time I was in the hospital waiting to get my appendix out. I was listening to some relaxing music, which made me very tired when paired with the painkiller the doctors gave me
+Dragonrider1227 here's the best part: while I had the music playing, my mother said it felt like she was waiting in line at Space Mountain
I know I’m not the only one who heard this in the Loki intro and end credits
I love this.....
I just went to Walt Disney World in may......
So I wont be going for awhile.....
This deserves attention.....
This makes me sad because I know Im not going for awhile....
Keep up all the great work!!!
One of my Favorite rides in the world!!!
Its a Big time classic!!!
Same I went in 2019 or so. It's just to expensive now. Until we meet again space mountain. GODS SPEED
This may be the single most relaxing piece of music in existence. I was having a bit of a rough day and was listening to DisneyLand music but the second this turned on it was like someone flipped a switch and I immediately felt better. You know the feeling you get when you take the first sip of a warm, gooey cup of hot chocolate? That’s how this music sounds. And then somehow at the same time it makes you excited because you know when you’re in line and you hear this it means in a few minutes you’re going to be ON the ride, zooming through the darkness:)
This is one of my favorite Disney rides. I can hear the voice talking about the sudden drops and stops
This hits different
Even though I’m still young and live in the same place every time I hear this it reminds me of my childhood before I was a teenager and it just in general reminds me of space and how big and deadly it can be
The queue for space mountain is an absolute vibe! I hope they never change it!
i hear ya David i love the queue as well could imagine we had a space mountain at Kennywood 🤣😂
Recognized this one in an instant. Brings back lots of memories.
So beautiful. Brings back memories. When we hadn't a care but to have the perfect day at the most magical place on earth.
I love Star Tunnel so much. It’s so eerie
STILL gives me such a euphoric feeling; it will never get old. I love closing my eyes and imagining going through the quue or coming off the ride and just being able to enjoy it instead of rushing.
Ah memories. Memories of being scared to death as a kindergartner ready for his first "big boy ride" but this music made it all okay
Stunningly beautiful!
Hits me right in the heart. never thought space mountain music would make me want to go back to disney, but somehow it does. i'm begging my my mom to bring my family back. i just want to be happy again 😭❤️
this music makes me feel like everything is gonna be ok. Hang in there everyone!!!!!
I rode this last night and I swear to you I could literally just sit it that one tunnel and listen to this music forever and not get tired of it
Now I see why Peter Pan never wanted to grow up it sucks because stuff like this reminds me of the glory days of being a kid and not having to worry about anything , actually the only thing I had to do was be a kid and enjoy it and I took it for granted so don't make the same mistake I did enjoy your child hood while it last
Space mountain will forever be my favorite ride, no one else will ever be able to match Walt Disney’s imagination. Only being 15(in a few days) and going to Disney world 23 times is the biggest honor. Not only the rides, but the people, characters, food, sound, music and smell is amazing. Just walking down main street USA and hearing the laughter, music and seeing Cinderella big castle at the end is amazing. Whenever I enter Disney World property, everything disappears, no problems, no worries. Just me, my family, and Mickey Mouse and his friends. And if I had one wish, it would be for everyone to experience the Disney world experience.
Space mountain is the best ride hands down.
This song is so pretty and brings back memories of childhood and good times as an adult at Disney World. The star tunnel going down to the ride is also beautiful. You feel like you are really in a space station and are looking out windows at all the stars. I'd love a copy of this song to help me study!
Oh Disney how I miss you! Last time was 2008.
This is my ringtone and I love it 😁. We were supposed to go Disney world this summer but...well it's 2020. I've never been to Florida but I remember hearing this song for the first time on a Disneyland podcast and I loved it
Ahh the nostalgia this brings lmao. I can still taste the smell and hear the woman “space mountain is a thrilling, high speed adventure in the dark” all while walking thru the space tunnel to my rocket. Damn Disney does it right with this!
I am laying in bed and i literally just got back from Disney world tonight. Im so sad that the magic had to end. My dad and i hold a special place in our hearts for space mountain and just Disney in general. It truly is HOME! "To all who cone to this happy place, welcome." - Walt Disney
Is it just me, or does anybody else vibe to Disney world music like spaceship earth, space mountain, the future world loop in Epcot, or any other Disney world music loops before you go to sleep WHILE you are in the hotel and are literally going to be there the next day anyway 😂😂
im crying. i miss my childhood of remembering the park closing and running across to make it to space mountain. the last time i did this was with my sister. And i already felt nostalgia from this song before the trip, and when we got in line, it started playing. i had to hold back tears. i miss going to disney with my family every christmas and feeling so alive
Disney likes to change things to bring new taste in their parks... if there’s one thing they shouldn’t change, it is this music! Even as an 19 year old, I can feel 30 and older year olds listening to the tunnel music that fuels their nostalgia.
Many can complain that Disney somewhat lacks in futuristic rides and effects, but almost 60% of the reason we go to Disney World, is to fuel our nostalgia, and bring old memories back to life. This track is the theme to nostalgia
Disney World will definitely be getting that futuristic update with the Tron ride already on its way, but I'm super thankful they aren't replacing this ride.
My family and I went to Vermont in the spring for a week and one night we went out star gazing. There was zero light pollution so the stars we breathtaking. Without telling anyone I put this on and everyone thanked me for playing it by the end of the night. I love this ride, but I will always think of that moment when I walk in those tunnels
my childhood!
This and Big Thunder Mountain were the rides that made me fall in love with roller coasters. It also certainly helps that my home park is Cedar Point.
Lucky mfer. My home park is La Ronde lmao.
Planning on going to Cedar Point with my gf next summer though
Gah the feels I rode Space mountain for the first time ever yesterday and I was screaming so hard and yet it was amazing. and to think I spent years just listening to this because it was awesome I never thought Id actually het to ride it or any Disney ride for that matter if you ever get to go to Disney go because I'm telling you it truly is the happiest place on earth
I’ve never been to magic kingdom ever but there space mountain queue music is beautiful and gives me nostalgia for some reason
The Loki theme intro sounds like it borrowed or was at least inspired by these music
I loved the ride so very much and the music I hear from it. It just makes it even more awesome
Last year my schools marching band made it to state finals here in florida the day after we went to disney world first ride we go on is space mountain not only did we have a great time but this catchy tune stayed with me this song brings back these amazing memories of the best weekend ever
To me this song is symbolic of the naïve optimism humanity had about the future in the 70s. We just landed on the moon, the digital revolution was on the horizon, average household buying power was steadily increasing. Everything seemed so bright. We had no idea things would end up like this, but all the things we ignored on our quest to reach the stars ended up being our undoing. I listen to this not just for the nostalgia of visiting Disney World, but the nostalgia for when humanity had an optimistic future.
This is great thank you...I have probably listened to it about 5x's in a row!!
This was the first rollercoaster I ever went on, back in 2002. I was only 5 and I couldn't wait to go on it with my dad and grandfather. We went back for my sister's HS graduation last summer, and this was the first ride we went on. Waiting in line, almost 15 years to the day after I first went on it, I felt the same excitement that my 5-year-old self felt all those years ago; it seriously felt like I had gone back in time, as weird as that sounds. Can't wait until next time!
am i the only one that when it does the high pitch sound gets a shiver?
This music always gave me scary vibes when I was in the line of space mountain. It's surprising because I actually like scarier things like tower of terror and the movie labyrinth but this music I always felt was unsettling in a way.
I highly agree with you guys! I just went for an entire week last month. I've been there four times in my entire life now, and the music plays a big part in the memories. I consider it home now that you others have mentioned it. It's such an amazing place. 3 times I've been with my family. I think about Disney world every single day. It's so awesome.
My heart goes out it all of those who never got to experience this as a kid.
This is one of my all-time favorite pieces of Disney music. So beautiful and calming. And cleverly composed, too! It really makes me think of gazing at the night sky because of a couple of elements. The first is the main melody with its pattern of sort of stepping back and forth between close notes, which suggests to me stars twinkling. And the second element is the periodic background noise that arcs from a high to a low pitch, which suggests to me shooting stars arcing across the sky. It is just pure genius!
I just was on that ride yesterday at 11pm and as I walked through this part I cried. We made this ride the last one we rode because it is the best ride.
This music holds a special place in my heart. Its beautiful and so aesthetically pleasing. Also it reminds me so much of all the times I would go to the Magic Kindgom as a child. Now that I am 20 years old and am now a Disney Annual Pass holder, every time I walk into the Space Mountain tunnel I hear this music for a brief seconds and it brings such a big smile to my face! ♥
This soundtrack is incredible
I know EXACTLY how you feel. Since I was five, my family would go to disney world *all* the time. Well, every year at least. Now I'm 17 years old and we've been there 19 times. It's completely my second home, and I'd never be able to bear skipping a year of going. It's definitely my favorite place in the world. Listening to this music makes me homesick.
You know nostalgia hits hard when you remember the smell, taste of the air, and clearly remember people screaming when they are about to take off
It’s definitely nostalgia that’s for sure.
I’m 7 years late to this comment but I completely agree I just rode this 2 days ago for my last ride and I it might be my last :/
I am the same way too i love Tomorrowland and its wonderful music that's how good tomorrowland is!

7 years ago I went with my high school band over spring break. I’d give anything to feel that air again
