Value question is super helpful. I feel like I have been a very risky investor - trying to pick individual stocks. Lost a lot on tech stocks in the last 5 years. But I think buying the index seems a good idea.

Absolutely !!!! I love I'll have to be debt- free in every sense before purchasing my first supercar. The best thing to do with your money is to infuse rightly because money left saving will end up with no returns
The government actively discourages investment in UK shares with a 0.5% Stamp Duty tax. 😂
an announcement into removing this would of been more of an incentive to invest than the ISA change for me

I doubt you'll be able to invest in Scottish Mortgage in the British ISA. The consultation document suggests only investments trusts that have at least 75% of the value of their investments in UK listed companies will be permitted.
To be honest, i dont think the government have a clue what they are doing with it!

Ramin what is the website you use to find those charts with the s&p 600 etc? I.e p/e multiples
Hi Ramin. Fun portfolio. You mention factos that you use: small cap stocks, value stocks, quality stocks, momentum stocks. I think that you could name any stock in the world and they would somehow fit into one of those factor categories?
I believe his portfolio contains stocks selected based on how well they score across all those factors. So a stock that only fits one factor category is unlikely to be included.
My dad always encouraged that, "fun" but it meant no lost a lot of money. I'm thinking boring and safe now!

Hi Ramin, great videos! Any reason for moving from the FTSE developed world VHVG to the FTSE developed world ex UK?
I think its cause he will invest in UK via that new £5k ISA.
Don’t think I heard Rolls Royce get a mention. Probably still some upside to go and who knows, maybe a dividend down the line.
No one was asking for a British ISA. It reflects the sad state of innovation in the UK investment sector. Hopefully new ideas and energy will be unleashed later in the year.
Tbh I don’t think there is much hope for brexit Britain, might as well set fire to your cash instead of investing in Uk assets. I see nothing but currency risk. Pound to dollar parity by 2025 methinks. The yen is leading the way for all currencies other than the dollar going into a global banking crisis / Eurodollar shortage
I think the country has been in decline for a long time. The focus on just making money from finance has basically only worked out for the 5% while the rest of the country has no productivity. Meantime young people want to travel and do arts degrees, so we are lacking engineers, accountants, medics and entrepreneurs.
Not sure why anyone would want uk gilts, do you not worry about currency risk with the pound near 1.30? A lot of room for downside
The scenario I see playing out is labour getting in and doing fiscal and the pound tanking. Tbh I think it’s priced in with the pound near 1.30. Even if rates go down I could see the pound tanking
When it’s time to buy gilts you probably won’t want to. I’ve seen a lot of people trying to time the top in rates for years now
I understand why people in the UK would be interested in investing anywhere else than the UK.
