Im scheduled for this on Monday & my Neurologist believes this would be good for me. Reading this, im scared, but my back is so bad, stenosis of foramen & my L4-L5 disk is severely degenerative & almost gone. I have facet Hypertrophy in several places too... Has anyone had good results from one of these or are they all bad?
I have the same diagnosis....they are calling tomorrow to schedule me...for two bolts, then after I recover. One more in the back and then one in the neck...I haven't seen anything about the neck area...or if they are even doing this procedure there or not , it is in my future that something has to be done about the bulging disc in my neck, I all of a sudden lost the feeling in 1/2 of my right hand, it's been this way for a year, they thought it was a pinched nerve but the MRI showed a bulged disc. I'm scared too...all I've seen are the good reviews...I can't seem to find any troubling one's and I wonder if that's on purpose, I don't know..but my back MRI's are horrendous and surgery is my only option. Good luck to you and I hope all is well. Prayers
I have had this device implanted one year ago. It gave me my life back. I can play golf again, at 82 years old I would have never thought I could play. Thank you Dr. Billy Mills, Conway, South Carolina. Frank Yelinko
Go for it. It works great. Had it done a year ago, it gave me my life back. Playing golf better than before. Thanks to Dr. Billy Mills, ORTHO, Conway, South Carolina.
Can Minuteman be installed :) together with disk spacer? I have spondylolisthesis and my nerves need more room. I am afraid that stabilizing my L5/S1 won't be enough and I might need additional implant to substitute the disk.
If you have spinal stenosis...this procedure is a total waste of time....I had it done and it's like putting a bandaid on the Hoover Dam. Doctors do it for the money
then what do I do? I have spinal stenosis among other things , 4 vertebras are sitting on each other and leaning forward..they are scheduling me sometime this coming week...I'm scared of any back surgery but I'm suffering....
Thank you so much for that. I was thinking that because it’s minimally, invasive and surgeons like to cut that it would be a better procedure by a pain dock
This is not a good way to achieve fusion. Don't let a pain doctor talk you into this. If you need a fusion, discuss actual surgery with a spine surgeon (I am a board certified neurosurgeon who has done thousands of spine surgeries).
I was just suggested a pain management dr for possible SI cushion. Very nervous, I have compressed disc, bulging discs, encroachment of L5 S1. Pain in SI joint and buttocks when sitting or standing. What do you think? I read neuro is more for brain and neck verses lumbar. Thanks
What applies to you won't apply to everyone. You may be discouraging someone for whom it would be a real success. If everyone 'such is the nature - gimmicks' had bad outcomes, the docs would stop using them.
I was scheduled for this, then saw the the surgery and canceled. Why would I weeken my. bones that far for a tiny nerve. Makes no sense. I'm sorry for the bad results .
Does the insurance company help pay for this
How long has this procedure been used and tested??

How'd it go

It’s been my experience, the longer you let it go, the greater the chance of nerve damage being permanent
I had it done the pain came back after 5 month worse than ever. This is a complete scam. Don’t do it.
How you doing now
Oh damn, I'm supposed to have this done soon. As it is, I can barely walk 😳

Would this be effective for foraminal stenosis ??
Don’t let pain doctors perform this procedure.
why not
@ Because they aren’t surgeons. I’ve seen and heard my fair share of terrible procedures by them. Stick to a neurosurgeon.
Thank you so much for that. I was thinking that because it’s minimally, invasive and surgeons
like to cut that it would be a better procedure by a pain dock
@ go to a neurosurgeon and tell them you are interested in this procedure. It’s a good product when performed correctly.
thank you will do

I had it done...it was a complete and total failure and a waste of money. Such is the nature of these minimally invasive gimmicks.

Well it applied to me as well. I had it done.total failure pain came back after a few month worse.
there are other minimal invasive procedures which had been performed many years. New stuff doesn't mean good
Could you give me more information about this please? I am scheduled to talk to my dr and be scheduled to get it.
