Are you interested in a Viltrox 35 1.7 vs TTArtisan 35 1.8 II review? Let me know if you are interested and you can also let me know if there is anything particular you want me to compare
Really great to see that TTartisan is able to make significant improvements within just one year, while keeping the same price point. I am very much looking forward to their next releases.
I've just bought one. This new lens is honestly impressive-feels so premium with its all-metal build! It’s super compact too, which makes it perfect for travel. At just $125, the value is insane for what you’re getting.
I’m all about lightweight setups, and this lens is just perfect. The metal finish is super sleek, and it balances so well with my camera. Took it to the park yesterday for some candid shots, and I’m loving how sharp it is for portraits.
Thank you for the review, great as always! I think I got the 35mm from the affiliate link. Choosing design, metal and price over Viltrox better IQ for 40MP sensor. Now we want a fast small AF 18mm =)
Excellent video. This lens is a great improvement in almost every way. The original lens hood from the 35mm and 56mm 1.8 fit on this new version as well! :)
I haven't done any direct image comparison of these two new lenses. But since both this review and the Viltrox review I compared with the original TTArtisan 35 1.8, you can get some idea by comparing the results from both reviews.
Just do a sigma vs viltrox air and ttartisan as they are budget and cheaper than fuj The fuji f2 is very soft for 40mp so we can ignore that i@@TheRealRichardWong
Not planned at the moment purely because I already have reviews scheduled till end of Feb so i won't have time to do that comparison for a while, but if you guys want to see a comparison video, drop a message here and let me know in case I suddenly got a bit of spare time :)
@@Vendetta725 I have also reviewed the Viltrox 35 1.7 air if you are interested to watch that review that I compared with the original TTArtisan 35 1.8
i just got the mark 1 delivered like a week ago and i can return it and order the mark 2 but it will take 2 weeks do you think its worth it or should i just stick with what i have?
@ hmmm, other than the 0.4m minimum focus distance i dont see much, i think ill stick w my mark 1 for now, the other one will take a while to come and id have to return the lens to amazon and it could take a while bcz i got it shipped from outside.
@@TheRealRichardWongafter shooting with the lens for a bit i decided to return it, as it has focusing issues for my sony a6000 and i ordered the mark ii. i hope it is better in every way because sometimes my lens just doesnt want to focus.
Thanks for the review. I've placed an order for this lens model right after watching it. I hope flare resistance of this lens will come decent. TTArtisan 27/2,8 was terrible in that regard.

Yes please ttartisan 35mm mark ii vs viltrox 35mm 1.7
Yes, please! Af performance, difference in shutter speed and dof at 1.7 vs 1.8, samples at the minimum focus distance and of course, sharpness.
Yes please! Cancelled my TTartisan order because your reviews are so helpful
Yes 🙌

oh thank you very much! I'm sure TTArtisan will read your request for a AF 18mm lens
I’ve used this lens for portraits, cityscapes, and more, and it always delivers.

Oh really? Let me give that a try!
Y’all, this lens is legit amazing. $125, metal build, and so compact.
Yes. Quite amazing value for money
How does it compare with Viltrox 35mm in terms of performance? Are you planning to make a comparison video soon?

oh it maybe quite hard to organise a review comparing all these lenses
Just do a sigma vs viltrox air and ttartisan as they are budget and cheaper than fuj
The fuji f2 is very soft for 40mp so we can ignore that i@@TheRealRichardWong
thanks for the suggestion. i will write it down and see if i can do something like that in the future
Thanks Richard!! Great job! Would love to see comparison to Viltrox. Thanks again!!
Amazing review as always! You should do a comparison with the new Viltrox. I'd be interested in seeing those results.
thanks for watching! I'll see if i can do a comparison video
@@TheRealRichardWongthat would be really interesting
I received mine a couple of days ago. Great lens, it won't disappoint.
Enjoy your new lens :)
Hi what is better and sharper TTart 35/1.8-2 or Viltrox 35/1.7 ?
Can you compare it to the new Viltrox 35 1.7?

@@TheRealRichardWong Christopher Frost already reviewed the Viltrox 35mm f1.7 AIR. That got me to settle for that lens than this TTartisan.
@@Vendetta725 I have also reviewed the Viltrox 35 1.7 air if you are interested to watch that review that I compared with the original TTArtisan 35 1.8
What is the Lens filter size?
52mm

What do you think after watching this review? You can see the difference between the two versions, is the improvement big enough for you?

Yes if the difference isn't big enough for you, then maybe save the hassles

Lens flare is definitely much better than the TTArtisan 27mm f/2.8.
And thanks for watching! I hope you'll enjoy your new lens!
@@TheRealRichardWong I feel my Tokina 33/1,4 is better but we'll see :)
Let me know your thoughts after you tested it!
oh the Tokina is a re-badged Viltrox right?
I bought Viltrox for the lighter weight over TTartisan for my Gimbal use.
The New Viltrox 35mm still seems the better choice.
i'll see if i can do a comparison review
that vignette is so bad it looks like it has been edited in post 😬
the vignetting is definitely the biggest weakness of this lens
Wow even smaller!! 😮
yes it's pretty tiny!
