When a person jumps 50 times a game and has a 40 inch vertical it is far more physically taxing than throwing a football 30 times for 20 weeks. NBA players play 82 game seasons. They play in back to back games. That destroys knees, ankles, toes and your back and hips. QB is not a brutal position whatsoever.
