For me, it's not so much the fact he played at the highest level into his 40's, but the fact he played football of all sports that long at a brutal position in which your not only physically, but mentally taxed as well. No disrespect to the NBA or b-ballers but he did far more than run up & down a court in an attempt to put a sphere shaped ball through a hoop. Seven rings. SEVEN!! earning the last while over 40 years of age & with a new team, coaches, coordinators & in an unfamiliar place. Him being such late draft pick is just icing on the cake. Had this man never existed & someone had written/produced a Hollywood movie script based on Tom's life it'd have been ridiculed beyond belief & labeled ridiculously unrealistic.
Great video I loved this & have watched it 3 or 5 times now.

This might be the least knowledgeable comment of all-time. When a person jumps 50 times a game and has a 40 inch vertical it is far more physically taxing than throwing a football 30 times for 20 weeks. NBA players play 82 game seasons. They play in back to back games. That destroys knees, ankles, toes and your back and hips. QB is not a brutal position whatsoever.

That was a very good welcome back. But New England fans know how important Brady was to the success of that team and he brought so many championships to the Patriots along with Bill Belichicks defensive schemes, the success that New England had won't be duplicated. But with the rules they have that protect quarterbacks and limit defensive players, Brady could play as long as he did, if he played his whole career under the rules that Marino and Elway played under, he would have retired four or five years ago.

@@syndrac6254 Well ahhhhh yeah......key words: "When the game started." He's *NOW* the opposing QB leading his CURRENT team on the field for the start of the game.
And the fans handled it just the way they should have. Cheered, clapped and applauded him when he made his *FIRST* return to the field. That was a great 'welcome back' reception.
THEN as the QB leading the opposing team out to "start the game" he got some boos. Tom's a big boy....he can handle it.
