I’m sure of it now, there will not ever be a song as good as this one. It has it’s majestic. How it has the ability to ascend and descend you from the highest cloud to the humble earth. To let you now how fragile are we how emotional are we !!
*Why wasn't this goddamn song in Brotherhood!? IT'S PERFECT!* (Not saying FMA Brotherhood's Soundtrack is bad, just different from 2003's type of soundtrack, that's all. Both animes have AMAZING soundtracks! 😁👍)
Actually, Kyoudai and Reminiscence are different songs with different instrumentation. Kyoudai lacks the group string accompaniment, instead there is only one violin/viola/whatever playing.
just so people are aware, when a studio has two versions of one song (with lyrics and without lyrics for an example like this) more often then not theyll tweek and change the song bit and give it a new name. Just cause you heard it one way and see the title is different does not mean it's wrong.
I may prefer Brotherhood, but this soundtrack is honestly so much more nostalgic. Not being able to hear this is one of the worst parts about watching Brotherhood tbh.
@@stelliana_vkeiUnfortunate to say, but Brotherhood was never in the original Japanese name so they would've never intended Brothers to be in Brotherhood.
Girls, I don't give a shit about how sophisticated you think you are. Guys, I don't give a shit about how tough you think you are. Heck, all human beings! I don't give a shit about how Cool you believe you are; if this doesn't make you feel nostalgic, you've lost your HUMANITY.
The price on the 3rd soundtrack is actually really good. It comes in this red tin with two dvds that have 4 episodes each and it also comes with the 3rd OST. :) I'll send you the link :)
I think it kind of sucks that FMA:Brotherhood is a bit better then FMA, but this has a better soundtrack. I wish they transferred this soundtrack to Brotherhood lol. There are some good songs in Brotherhood, but, overall, this soundtrack is better (at least, I think so).
I know! All the while that I was watching Brotherhood I always found myself listening to see if this song would ever play, and I was a bit disappointed when it never did. Honestly, I love both soundtracks, though I agree that this one is better as I find it more dramatic and moving. Personally I prefer Brotherhood, but both of these animes are so special to me!
I'd disagree with you that FMA Brotherhood is better. The characters in Brotherhood just didn't feel well developed. I wasn't as invested in them. For example, when Hughes dies, I didn't feel the same sense of loss as I did in the original. I think Brotherhood was using the original as a setup and didn't put a lot of time into character development and introductions since that had already been done. I'll agree that the ending in Brotherhood was better, but I still haven't seen Conquerors of Shamballa yet, so I can't say. But why can't we enjoy both?
@@holless exactly. I appreciate your take, and I do agree that the ending to Brotherhood was more satisfying (since they had material to work with). It's nice to meet agreeable people on the internet
i hadn't realized this until i started going through the whole soundtrack trying to find one in particular, but does anyone else get _Castle in the Sky_ vibes from this leitmotif? (i THINK that's the right term--not really a music guy)
This song in the episodes sometimes has like.. Words over? By a choir or something. Am I right on this or not? And if so, could someone point me where to find that.
This is beautiful, but this isn't "Reminiscence", this is "Kyoudai" (also called "Bratja if the song has it original Russian lyrics or "Brother"(s) if it has English lyrics)........Anyways, thanks for posting : D

So nostalgic and sad. I miss the good old days

@Enigma14
It's "Bratja" in Russian, "Brother" in English, and the one with the violin solo is called "Kyoudai" in case you were wondering.

大島ミチル女史らしい、美しい旋律ですね。this is the most impressive song I've ever heard.
2023 marks the 20th anniversary of FMA 2003 🖤
Look for "Brothers" in the first CD if you want vocal version. There's also an English version if you search for it.
I may prefer Brotherhood, but this soundtrack is honestly so much more nostalgic. Not being able to hear this is one of the worst parts about watching Brotherhood tbh.
you would think they would have "brothers" in "brother"hood

Fma: best ambiance
Brotherhood: best senario

Well, I already knew that. That's just what they called it for this soundtrack.
@Thelemonleopard I bought the CD from Amazon. The prices might be a little high now. It's why I missed out on the chance to the the third soundtrack.
Isn't this bratja (brother)?
Yes! It is!! 😭😭
This particular version is called 追想 (Tsuisou), the English title is Reflection. Brothers is the vocal version.
Thanks!!!
