Hung out with this guy back in High School just outside Washington, DC. He was in a band "The Confidentials". Excellent band, and he was an excellent singer back then too.
this is awesome. only seen him once in 80's and he's still got that great voice. oneof my fav singers along with Elvis, Joey Ramone, Roy Orbison and Tom Jones. This a great concert. If your a fan of Gordon check out my demos.
Seen RG twice....the first time he was DRUNK.......the second time he was DRUUUUNK and at the end of the concert he could barely stand without support.I thought though, that it was a good performence but was a little sad for him drinking his very big talent away.So I am VERY glad to see this gig where he did well....keep it up Robert...👍
This guy Robert gordon is great I got to see him in a small club back in the late 70s what a great show and great music oh and by the way I met Robert in the men's room and I told him he sounds like Elvis and The stray cats

What kind of music did they play ?
@@harvey1954 They played all the popular songs of that time (early to mid 60's). Robbie did an excellent job singing Buddy Holly songs.
@@williamthomson3018 Ok, he did do punk with the Tuff Darts the first time I heard of him. Then went onto rockabilly.
@@harvey1954 I knew him from 1961 - 1966. He wasn't doing any punk at that time.
@@williamthomson3018 No, early 70s, the CBGBs double lp had two Tuff Darts tunes with Robert on vocals.
That old boy can still rock!
Thanks for posting. Long-time fan, never had the pleasure of seeing him in person.
Super nice guy. Met him after the show at the Magic Bag a few years ago. Hope he comes back to the D real soon!
