    Thanks for video.
    I Think you have the Z-Star mixed up with Q-Star though. There is No way the Z-Star is for beginners. Im sure Srixon would love to hear that one...

    For me the Chrome Soft was the best option Vs the Pro V models as they both performed similarly. Ultimately price was the decider. Kirkland wasn't available for me to try.

    I found a kirkland signature once, it was in pretty good shape. I should have kept it, it might have been worth 10 bucks or more in a few years.

    Snell MTB black for those who want to play ProV1 or any other over priced ball and wants to save a few bucks. Just as good! MTB black is a 3 piece ball, red is a 4 piece ball. Their low end ball is a 2 piece but not tour quality.

    The Z star is a tour ball buddy

      Sebastian Nachilly I was thinking that too! The Z-Star is a tour ball for the better player.

      Edward G Price No kidding! Titleist balls are NOT the best, only the top selling! All the high end balls are pretty equal these days. At the top of that list is the Snell MTB, which has been shown to be as good or better than the Pro V1. Many erroneous points in this video!

    • @ndnd1671
      @ndnd1671 6 років тому

      They are the best because they have the most wins on Tour. 5 + years ago no other ball was even close. Technology has changed a lot and made it possible for people like Snell to make golf balls. Snell is close because the guy made the old Professionals and maybe first generation of the ProV1. He knows how to make them and owns several of his own patents making golf balls with Titleist and I think Taylormade as well.

      Insomnias Oh believe me, I’ve been an avid golfer for over 40 years and have followed the evolution of the golf ball during that time. I’ve also played them all, too. At one point, Titleist was not only #1 in sales but it truly was the best ball, but like I said, it’s not anymore. It has many equals, and I’ve seen it first hand through launch monitor testing.
      Saying you’re the best just because you’re #1 in sales, is like saying TaylorMade was the best driver when they used to be #1 in sales. It was totally FALSE, and I saw that in performance through testing as well.
      People can be Titleist “homies” all they want.....but the FACTS show, there are many other balls that perform as well as the Pro V1 at a much much lower price. And that’s the truth!!!

    To me, the project A or the tour proffered ball by Taylormade is just as good as their TP5

    • @eoinm5758
      @eoinm5758 5 років тому

      David Bailey project a for me was decent with my short irons but not so good with my driver but not a bad ball

      I totally agree, I was at one time a Pro V1X guy
      ( And still think it's the best ball ever made )
      but I had to switch after 9 knee surgeries as I lost close to 30mph on my Driver Swing speed.
      I am now 52 and at one time had a swing speed of 118 mph , Now I'm lucky to hit 90mph.
      My Handicap shot up from a 5 to a 15.
      So Power golf is no longer an option.
      So I switched to the 2017-18 TM Project (A) and I haven't looked back.
      I did get some distance back ( Nowhere near what it was ) but most importantly my short game and feel came back and I mean in a big way.
      I have become a "Golfer" again and it feels good.
      If you haven't tried this ball you are doing yourself a HUGE Disservice.

    Freaking disclaimer that I'm watching a Titleist fanboy ad!! Srixon Z-Star is a 3 layer & XV a 4 layer urethane tour ball that outlasts and outperforms the ProV's, but it's for an intermediate player. Suggest spending more money for a ball that can't do the same thing? Get real buddy

    • @billyballa7002
      @billyballa7002 6 років тому +1

      Exactly. I'd put the zstar up against titleist any day, and they last longer.

      fan boy for saying whats commonly known pro vs are the best balls better than tp5 i use chromesoft because I feel theyre a great all round for my game but pro vs are the best its not fanboy its just a fact

    • @ra1279
      @ra1279 5 років тому

      @@eoinm5758 It depends on your game. I spin the Pro V1's too much and prefer the Srixon. The yelllow XV's are incredibly durable and show virtually zero wear. They are my favorite ball though the TP's are great too. As I stated above, you can't go wrong with any of these balls, but saying one is better than another is folly.

  • @ra1279
    @ra1279 5 років тому

    A lot of misinformation in this video. The "best" golf ball is totally subjective to being with. What is good for one person isn't good for the next. Second, the Z-Stars are tour balls with urethane covers. Why you poo-pooed the Z-Stars while talking up the Callaway Chrome's urethane cover was odd. Third, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and the rest use Taylormade balls because they have a contract with Taylormade. Same goes for the Titleist guys you mentioned.
    All of the balls you mentioned are top of the line balls. I suggest people hit them all to see which they like best. I think most will find that they all work pretty well for their game. In reality, besides feel, most will not see any difference in performance. Also when shopping, check to see how many pieces the ball is. If it has at least three pieces and a urethane cover, it's going to be a good ball.
