Great set of videos guys, except for one thing. These cars are all running automatic transmissions of kinds. Manuals always win. No matter how good automatic transmissions become, you're still lacking control as a driver, when using the downshift on engine braking. They've improved out of sight, but they're still just not quite replicating a manual. Hell, the automatic transmission can and does override decisions. Auto transmissions are also significantly heavier, more expensive to buy, and significantly more expensive to fix. Huge tradeoff, for the advantages of a modern auto, which, although vastly superior to older autos, still hold most benefit in slow traffic only, not actual driving.

A Rapid/Vento 1.6TDI from 7-8 years ago would've smoked all of these easily. Price was also similar if you account for inflation. This segment has a lot of catching up to do.

My ciaz is a Thailand imported version and has automatic transmission ATM not CVT, the acceleration of that car is amazing compared with this CVT one! I accelerated it from 120 to 160 and the gear change thrust was next level!

@@selvaraj1914 what I am trying to convey with my comment at first place is that higher cc doesn't necessarily mean higher speed for vehicle .It depends on n number of possibilities vehicle power to weight ratio , bore to stroke ratio , maximum power at what rpm . I can go on and on . Higher cc means higher fuel and air supply ,that's it .It can be one of the factor for more power but not solely relatable to maximum speed always .
I am also aware of the point that rapid is a 1 ltr turbo engine with your mentioned figures which self explains the above .
To my knowledge. The 1.3 L diesel old fiet engine does 200 all the new including the recent diesel can't do even 190 also engine is not so refined. Ciaz 1.3 DIESEL is like R15 for bikes. Sleeper

No hatred to city either .But the build quality , vehicle being rigid at higher speeds and especially suspension and braking I would give it to rapid . steering response is a neck to neck thing but city wins in that . New city is highly over priced and they have increased the cars length while maintaining its wheel base same, which results in a more bumpy ride . Acceleration and top speed rapid too does is what I feel (no body are racers here and these cars are not meant for that instead for common commuting to argue more on top speed ) Considering all other aspects Rapid is the Go to vehicle .city has long last his charm .look at slavia now with 7 speed DSG gear box with 150 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque .?
