Rapid is not the best in the segment? It does not even compete with the other three toys. It's a real beast.
you guys gave your best pathetic review again. At the beginning he says skoda is a drivers car and later complaints about the suspension being hard, lol then what do you mean by a drivers car?? suspension to be soft and roll around corner or car to jump around high speed?? . The stiffer the suspension the more planted the car is and will have amazing handling around corner and that's what skoda is for. And skoda Rapid even has stabiliser linked to the rear suspension. Even though you guys deleted the video and posted again, you guys were wrong about skoda's engine specifications. It has 250nm not 153nmof torque n 109hp not 104hp. And Honda city's diesel engine and cabin isolation is way better than ciaz, only the older city had noise diesel engine but the new one is quite on the inside. Skoda and VOLKSWAGEN has been using 100% galvanised steel since ages and you guys said it as though it has been introduced to new rapid. And please stop giving verna is clear cut winner in terms of design, everybody has own taste, city and rapid has more matured type of design language, you guys just can't say verna is the winner over here. And at the end most stupid thing I ever heard was that skoda Rapid not the best safety car, lol you guys should dig up more into automobile rather than reading a broucher over hear. Skoda Rapid has been rated 5/5 star EuroNcap rating while having only 2 airbags and without airbags it got 4.3 /5 and verna got 4/5 star with six airbags and without airbag 3/5 star and city too got 4/5 star and ciaz has not been tested, we know maruthi focused on efficiency and low cost maintenance rather than safety . like I said You guys are just reading the broucher here and saying some stupid things. And I forgot about your galvanised steel, it's not light weight but the heaviest car in it's segment. please do tonnes of research before you say something irrelevant about cars.
To be honest , your comment was better than the review. I'm planning to buy the Rapid . Verna is way too light . one hard hit accident and it's quite guaranteed you'll be dead. But that's not for the Rapid . No one had mentioned above the space at the back . CIAZ rules but the VERNA is the WORST . The polo and the verna at the back have almost the same space. Someone please tell these 4 guys to check polo out. Then Talking about features : yes Verna rules but but remember , Verna is KOREAN . Rapid is GERMAN. There's always a difference. Having Features Never rule over the other.

5th year with my Rapid diesel. No problem at all. Just requires an annual servicing. My servicing costs were as
1st yr Rs 12000
2nd yr Rs 9000
3rd yr Rs 11000
4th yr Rs 8500. Mind it. ONCE A YEAR.
A drivers car. Great on milage. Dailly commuting 30 to 35 kms fulltime AC on. Rs 4000/ month on diesel. Superior built quality. Just open the door and you feel it!

How on Earth could you call a Skoda less safe than the competition? Moreover, it was a nice attempt from your side but being auto reviewers you guys should try and be more aware of the facts, details and all additions in depth. The Rapid has 4 airbags instead of 2, it comes with clubber alloys instead of the ones in the old model you are reviewing, it supports AA and ACP as well. it has not 'introduced' galvanised steel but has been using it since ages. It has perhaps the strongest sheet metal amongst all. The Czechs and the Germans have a legacy of making stronger cars, and all the variants that they sell in India score 100% in the crash tests. They underperform in terms of service standards but that is more dealer specific.
Secondly, it looks like a biased review. No doubt the Verna is ahead in terms of reliability of CRDi and the feature list, it lacks in the space. The quality of plastics doesn't justify the price tag it comes with and the buyers must be aware of all these details.
You guys could've compromised a bit on adding forced humour by giving some more valuable information for a customer. Service network, Warranty period, NCAP/ Euro ratings, etc. Even basic facts like power to weight ratio, lower end and higher end torque dynamics were missed. More on glam and less on grey it appeared to me.

Apart from the honda city looks wise the skoda rapid is a looker i was just hooked on the looks of the rapid even before they launched the car here in india.. Hope they bring in the monte carlo. Varient soon. Coming to the rapid it has a 5 bhp advantage over vento i presume and being a bread and butter car for the skoda in india... It is reliable and built like a tank...

Brother, I have first-hand experience of the build quality of both, the Maruti and Honda. A year back my family faced a minor accident where the car knocked into a street-side advertisement pole. It was a pretty low scale accident at a speed of 40 kmph, where you do not expect much damages. Until then I never debated on the build quality of the cars but the build quality was so light that the car turned 180 degrees on the axis, the chassis got dislocated, it went for a total loss and the passengers got hit badly. On the other hand, there's a friend of mine who crashed into a truck at 140 kmph driving a Skoda but still came out with minor hits in the body. The car got repaired and he too is safe.
A company can never do business in India if it is not willing to get serious about the customers. I have read a lot about DSG issues and fuel injector failures but they have worked on it and the newer cars come with a lot of promise. It is also somewhat dealer specific, the dealer in my area is very cooperative. I understand they took customers for granted since 2009 when these issues started to crop but with the complete overhaul of administration, service arrangements and policies, we can only hope for things to move in a positive direction. (I am not at all associated with the company in any way) And I would say that for VW, Fiat, Ford and to some extent Hyundai too. I chose safety and build quality over service and spare parts issue, and can only hope for my experience to be better. Fingers crossed!
infact vento,ameo and rapid now uses the same 1.5L diesel engine with 110 ps while VWs have larger torque curve than rapid's and has a slight edge than rapid in intermediate sprint, not by big margin. Vws are built like tanks but reliability isnt that great

I did test drive both this vehicle City V and Ciaz ZXI+ as both of these vehicles price comes close at hand.. i couldn’t come to a conclusion.. so please suggest me which one to buy? I’m looking a sedan for my parents and they are 50+.. in a budget of 11-12L.. usage is only 1000kms/month it will be always maintained by a chauffeur.. which one is reliable? Performance is secondary.. mileage, comfort and maintenance is a primary one i consider.. so suggest me which one to buy in 2018? City V or Ciaz ZXI+?
Skoda is for people who love class love driving experience. Ciaz is for typical Indian mentality people mileage, low maintenance, Verna and city is ok...

Honda City 4th Gen V MT. How is rear seat comfort and Rear AC cooling, for rear only. For long drives, sometimes rough roads too (gravel kind of road sometimes) (70% smooth and 10% rought kind of roads and 20% bumpy kind of road).

Very bad comparative analysis. Few notable points are:
1. Stop Bitching among yourselves. Focus on car in question.
2. Compare all cars section wise. If talking about headlights compare all cars. Talk about how good are they, not how good they look. For Night time driving, which headlights setup is best among all the cars. How projector headlights compare with all LED headlights ? How is visibility in night, in foggy condition ... Etc etc etc etc
3. Be concise please, that brings me to first point again, using drama to spruce up the review is bad attempt. Focus on cars and not on models showcasing the cars.
4. If possible please see reviews from other UA-camrz.
Please accept my sincere criticism as positive for improvement.

I m going to buy an old city.
In ciaz it is fun to drive and length is too much. A pleasant ambience is in the ciaz interiors. The only negative i feel in ciaz is its bad turning radius. And its difficult to park somewhere bcoz of its heavy length and small side mirrors.
I currently use ciaz.
Coming to hyundai verna i think i just got everything in just numbers. As it is Korean and i dont think electrical equipments will work after 5 years. After 2 lack kms the verna will be a scrap.
I dont have one but i take a test drive in it.

Skoda builds a very hard car it engine can last for ever you can still see skoda octiva mk1 running like a beast on roads. Skoda has regular repair with its suspension because it bit heavier than other.

i always see car editors now a days count only on looks, price, mileage and features. that is something anyone can google and find out. what brings value to your video is opening the bonet and comparing how everything is put together, some reliability aspects, service costs, critical spare parts availability, cost of maintenance and resale values which are actual needs.

Rapid is clear winner in looks, stability and build quality unlike the others which has TIN body ....making it lighter.

Is Skoda Rapid a High maintenance vehicle ?
@@mrj6322 depends upon how you drive, I have been owner of 1.6Tdi which is discontinued but it is gem of the machine. Annually it will cost you 13-17K with GST if service done from company's workshop. It is recommend to get the service done locally from good mechanic after extended warranty ends. The current 1.0Tsi is also a good engine but I would recommend to check blogs on how is the performance of this engine if you are driving with 4 passengers with full luggage on highways & hilly terrains. None of the UA-cam bloggers have talked about this 3pot 1 litre engine performance on these scenarios. They just talk about design, comfort, pickup, blah blah, etc...

Which version you review, petrol or diesel. In diesel verna rocks. In petrol honda city is the king and nothing can beat it. Volkswagon is an enthusiast car, where is this in comparison. Honda city diesel is bit noisy but not very noisy as compared to previous versions. Please have a good understanding before you do any car review

Stability on high speeds , build quality , drivability , handling and PERFORMANCE . Volkswagen cars are worth the buy. The Volkswagen vento speaks class and power in its respective segment.

How many km have you driven in vento? I had very bad experince with vento after 100000 km engine had many issues.
