get the book, "Think Python." This is the ultimate way to learn python as it gives you a small project to make at the end of every chapter. This helps you to apply what you learned in a real world scenario by building a program that is of use. I learned python in a week by just using this book. I got to the point where I was able to build projects by myself because everything I learned got glued to my brain by simply making projects after every single little thing I learned. Hope this helps :)
