Hahaha wow it’s crazy how much gear we have in common. I’ve got the exact same watch, had the same knife (it broke). My knife is on a bungee too. It’s like convergent evolution
LOL, how crazy is it we all have so much kit! Hilarious! Great video and lots of fun! Well done on sharing the knowledge for others to learn of! Dive Safe!
Good simple video that explains what you need to know. I started off with a body board as a float but soon after got a Wettie Float Boat, these are awesome. Chuck your fish in them and keeps sharks away. Another item I like is my drop weight which I use to anchor the float boat so I can swim around it. We’re moving up to Hervey Bay soon so if you come up that way we should go shoot some fish.
Thanks mate! I’ve seen those float boats, they’d be perfect for shore diving. Good idea with the drop weight, would keep the float visible for passing boats. Sounds good, I’m always keen to dive new areas
When I was Like 10 I started spearfishing with a shaft with a Trident on one side and a screwdriver on the other After that for a year and some change I started using my grandpa's spear gun just a Trident speargun 75 cm I think with a super long shaft for some reason a pair of really soft rubbers (burnt from the salt) When I was 13 (I think) I bought a seac sting 65cm my first gun (I still use it when hunting for octopus or rock fish) After a year i got gifted a bucanero 2 full 86cm which I still use and a few months ago (I am now almost 18) I saved up all year and bought the parts built my self a 110cm inverted roller and I am waiting for Easter Hollidays to go test it
Hey man! Thanks for reaching out, I’m hoping to post a new vid this Thursday. These floods have been hectic and I haven’t had a chance to get out for a dive unfortunately
Could be a few more weeks at least, it’s still filthy from the rain. I’ve heard reports that there is some blue water out wide in 100m + hopefully it pushes in soon
Hey mate, I’ve got a couple vids in the pipeline. I recently spent a couple weeks camping at Whitsundays and Keppel island. Hoping the vis clears up on the Gold Coast so I can post more frequently again
Cool that you kept your old guns ! Put em on your wall for the memories later in life !!
Definitely mate 👌

Haha really! It was the cheapest dive watch I could find. The bungee is so good, haven’t lost a knife since!
@@primal_pursuit they are bloody good those seac dive watches I’m coming onto 2 years owning mine
I got that same dive knife lmao. Definitely gonna copy that drill trick with the Bungie bc my 65 dollar knife also got lost 😂
@@Womenlovefishpics hey Nick check out the torreli knives they come with 2x bungees built in. Basically impossible to lose!
