    🤝💥❤TROUBLESHOOTING POST ❤💥🤝
    I noticed that some of you are running into the same problems, so I'll address them here:
    Step 01 - When making the circles with Eclipse Tool, make sure they're on different layers, not the same layer. Idea: Draw one circle and duplicate it (Cmd/Ctrl-D) then make the middle one of them bigger.
    Step 02 - When setting the movement of the outer circles, click the anchor point to reveal the handle. Drag the handle to curve the animated path of the circle going into the middle.
    Step 04 - When changing the colour of each circle, make sure the big circle is on top! If the big circle is below the others, they won't blend in a good way.
    Step 05 - When adding Inner Shadow, make sure to add it to every circle layer. Play around with Opacity, Distance, Angle and Blending mode (Normal, Multiply or Overlay)
    Step 06a - When drawing circles - just like in Step 01 - make sure they're on different layers, not the same layer.
    Step 06b - When animating the circle positions in a loop, make sure the circles start and ends in the same place. Idea: Duplicate your keyframes to make it loop - OR - add this expression to the Position on each of your circle layers: loopOut("cycle")
    Step 06c - When adding Gaussian Blur to your circle layers: If you see a square around the blur-effect, click "Repeat Edge Pixels" in the Effect Controls tab to fix it.
    Step 06d - When masking out the moving, blurred circles: Select all blurry-circle layers and under "Track Matte" on each layer select your big circle from the drop-down list.
    BONUS - Make sure your Adjustment layer is always on top of all the other layers.
    _____
    Hope this helps! Otherwise, let me know - and I'll add more fixes.

    Anders, amazing tutorial. Can you explain 2 things:

    2 - how to loop the position?
    Thanks a lot!!

    • @AndersWaltz
      @AndersWaltz  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Renato! The colours start blending when you add gaussian blur (blurriness 100 or more) to all the moving circles. Furthermore, you make the positions loop by choosing a start point, a middle point and a end point (start and end has to be the same to loop) Use the "Convert Vertex Tool" under "Pen Tool" to make the path go in a circle. Try it out!

    I’m having a lot of fun with this but was wondering if I could ask for a little help advice?? So I’m using the way the balls merge but instead it’s a bunch of eyes merging into a symbiote type goo that I want to then expand into a title name. Would I need to do these all in separate compositions or could I do it all as one animation? Sorry for the big question/ask

    • @AndersWaltz
      @AndersWaltz  21 день тому

      You should be able to do this all in one comp, just using simple choker on an adjustment layer above all your eyes / graphics. Then, if you want the simple choker effect to be even stronger, you can apply a gaussian blur effect on a new adjustment layer, which has to be above your first one.
      Hope this helps! Good luck

    @1:33 - I came in for the Blob effect shown here, yet, I don't believe it was covered in the tutorial. How do you make that big circle squash & stretch in such liquid-y fashion?
    Roughen edges effect, for example, only creates small ripples on the edges. It doesn't look like that..

    • @AndersWaltz
      @AndersWaltz  Рік тому +1

      Hey! I don't cover this part as it was just a little add-on. However, the way I did this was simply using Position and Scale. Make sure the link is checked off on the Scale so you can scale horizontally and vertically independently!
      I simply squash and stretch it with Scale and then offset a bit of movement using Position.
      Good luck mate!

    • @eladbari

      @@AndersWaltzHey, thanks for writing back! I was sure this was beyond a normal squash & stretch, since it seemed like the rim of the circle was reacting in an a-symmetrical fashion. Yet, maybe the inner reflections are the ones who create this illusion.

      Hello Deborah! You can most definitely do this with a logo (png or Illustrator file). Just add the same effects and see them melt together.

    The trick with the Gaussian Blur and Simple Choker doesnt work, im just a beginner so i have no clue as to how to fix this.

      Hey! It works when I do. Try pre composing everything, add gaussian blur legacy, set blur amount, add simple choker and set amount. Play around with these numbers and the shapes should start melting together. Alternatively find another tutorial and locate the issue you’re having. Good luck!

    Love this tutorial but I can't seem to figure out step 6 part 4 and how the mask is created? Any chance of some help?

      Hey pal! What you gotta do it make a lot of circles and animate their path. Mark them all and pre-comp them. Then make a copy of your original circle. The copy must be on top of your pre comp of the moving circles. Finally you simply use the track matte option in the layer to use the copied circle as a mask. If still confused, Google track matte.. Hope this helps!

      @@AndersWaltz How do you get the inner shadow to remain as a part of the track matte? Every time I use the track matte, the inner shadow of the original circle disappears...

    How do you add a curve to the position path without doing it manually? Thanks for the tutorial! Really cool and easy!

    • @AndersWaltz
      @AndersWaltz  4 роки тому

      You use the handles on the path. You'll need to use one of the options under the Pen Tool. It's called bezier something.

    Hey Anders, these are excellent tutorials! Keep it going :) btw is it possible to add multiple inner shadows (layer styles) in AE? Or rather should I use different shape layers to get more advanced style (step 5)

    • @AndersWaltz
      @AndersWaltz  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks so much Adam. Really appreciate it :) It's not possible unfortunatley. I wish! But! You could pre-compose the layer and add another layer style (like inner shadow, inner glow) after that. It's a work-around rather than a solution.
