I would change the title of the video to "overwatch defensive concepts" instead of "overwatch concepts" I feel it would be more accurate.
KarQ a good hybrid is Hog Right He’s a tank but Slow also He has a good amount of damage
3 amour packs in a fight were you have a disadvantage can be good for stalling too. If you manage to get inspire up which can be pretty easy in a stall it's the most hps I believe.

aaaaand this is why Symm is actually a very strong pick when the team is willing to work with her. She can completely bypass chokepoints. Puts tremendous pressure on defenders.

@@alexl1340 Translocator is def a stall ability what you even talking about?
@@jespj7888 even with the recent change, you will only stall for maybe a second before you have to translocate off point. Its also very easy to kill a sombra especially compared to the other heros in the stall category. All of the other heros mentioned are better at the stall game
@@alexl1340 Wdym "even with the recent change"? It was a nerf to her stall potential not buff most of the time at least, the strategy most of the time is to throw the translocator in the air and then turn yourself invis to avoid dmg then reveal yourself to contest again
I actually didn't know or forgot that D.VA can fly out of her mech higher when you hold jump. Really cool tip!

Another thing: if I’m on attack I always peek through the window of spawn while defenders set up, to see/hear if they give away what they’re running.
You’d be surprised how many people don’t do this, but instead punch the chalkboard on Gibraltar.

It’s because she technically isn’t. Other than her translocator she doesn’t have immediate burst of mobility like a Tracer or Doomfist. Sombra is more like a Genji in terms of kit design. One escape on a long cooldown, and mainly used as utility for ult/other stuff.
@@CMiY0 I used to think like that until they buffed her translocator and Fitzy got to play her. That guy is a genius
Bit too map dependant unless you start as her before hand.
Dany F i mean it’s still suboptimal compared to Tracer and Doom because Sombra has less health and no shield gaining ability of Doom, and a larger hitbox than Tracer. While also having much less dmg potential+mobility. She can standard strafe with a medium-small hitbox, but doesn’t have any mobility abilities to incorporate with her standard dodging.

It should have more in game teaching stuff, but the actual game changes to often to have a video like this.
I mean stuff like this come with experience and having a brain in the first place.
Another thing about stallers, is that, if there are many enemies in the objective, it might be interesting to hide (works better on payload), instead trying to chip damage. The enemy team might take a few seconds to know that they are not advancing before looking for you, which can be the difference in a last struggle.
Stalling is so important. Recently had a game where we steamrolled on King's Row so hard that the enemy couldn't even touch the payload on 2nd point. But on the third, right after we swept them, the enemy team came back as one unit and held us. We were five meters away and the fact that they stayed calm and touched with multiple people made them win. They also used the stall heroes(Rein, Hammond, Tracer, etc) and just outlived us and outbrawled our orisa sigma.

Great job on this! Understanding concepts like these always have a big effect in-game. So many players focus on mechanics too much, where a lot of the time they could have avoided the situation where their mechanics failed entirely. I have been a ringer for 4k teams that don't do these sorts of things between fight. Setting up properly when you have point control and scouting are the two biggest offenders in ALL ranks.

Really great tips. I never knew that about the overtime timer! It’s like the numbers advantage of attackers when contesting a point increases defenders respawn timer, in the way that it’s never explained in game but it has a big impact on teams winning and losing...

May I also say a good mercy can stall as well. As long as there is a dead corpse on the objective or she has valk, she can be really good at stalling unless the enemy has a good hitscan. Superjump confuses the heck out of the enemy and by the time they realise you're in the air, you have ga just about ready to go again.

Attackers can have "defenders advantage" in terms of gaining control of choke points , but defenders still have the spawn advantage and its debatable which one is stronger.
I think they're considered different advantages
I'm no pro or anything but roadhog makes a good hybrid staller/fragger as well IMO. Cancelling enemies ults and abilities with his hook can be pretty invaluable in a close fight.

Would Roadhog be considered a stalker/Fragger hybrid because of his survivability and one shot combo?
I think his mobility hurts him a bit as either of these role
He's too slow and his hitbox is too big
No movement abilities to escape a focus burst down from 6 ppl
And he has to be in relatively close range to do that one shot combo
I think he's too slow to getting back to point, also will get CC'ed out of his breather, and is too easy to hit.
Everything but stalling only works if your team listen to you, if not, look for bad positioned players and try to kill them but don't over extend, play safe.
I’m surprised Roadhog wasn’t on the list of Stallers. Can hook + primary fire squishies and has his self-heal. He can be a great staller

@@willwunsche6940 Its easy to dodge or bait out. I get tilted if mcree uses fth after flashbang. If you play things like mei or reaper its pretty easy to bait or dodge flash. But i agree its annoying af

I'll be honest...I came for Overwatch, I stayed for the intro song :)
Scouting is mainly for People who easily use VC. Something that doesn't really happen in lower ranks.
And not everyone is good with talking either; speaking from experience.
I think you don't see scouting at lower ranks because it's already so hard to keep your team organised. I was a plat Lucio main on console and when the role lock update happened it ranked me at silver for all roles.
At silver teammates just don't know what they're doing. If you scout you risk encouraging teammates to split up and feed either because they follow you or copy you without understanding what's happening.

I've been playing since day one and I never realized you could touch an objective early to activate overtime.
Couldn't you also consider Roadhog as a hybrid staller/fragger? He has the potential to one shot heroes and has his self heal to sustain damage.
