Hello to you wonderful, and fabulous LEGENDS of MTB. 🙌🏼
I say this because starting MTB at 50 last year, this is the most wholesome, empathetic, caring, passionate, considerate, inspiring, and welcoming group I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. That is why I am so humbled to be a part of this amazing community and why I am so excited about my journey ahead.
This is from my Bike Park Wales trip earlier this year, considered the UK’s favourite MTB bike park. This was my 1st ever trip to the park, and I cannot wait to return in January 2024.
The day before I had crashed on my 2nd run of the day and spent half a day in A&E. Returning to the bike park on the second day, here is the last ride of the day on the short but very enjoyable Bush Whacker Trail.
I am still learning how to ride and practising the basics after my recent and brilliant 1:1 coaching session, and I have so much yet to learn after starting MTB at the age of 50 last year and getting more time in the saddle now than when I started.
Along with learning the basics of MTB, I am learning how to edit and create videos for my family and friends to enjoy and for anyone who has a similar interest in this wonderful thing that is MTB. Particularly if you are new to MTB, learning from coaching sessions, and especially if you started a little later in life, where we don’t bounce anymore, we tend to snap, crackle and pop.
