Man, I really appreciate that no-nonsense approach of yours. I have no interest whatsoever in the tech aspect of things, I just want to make the most of the tools Photoshop provides. And that's what your tutorials are all about. Massive kudos, sir! :)
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Wow!!! Of all the hair masking videos I have never seen this technique but I love it!!! Thank you so much!!
Thanks for watching! :)
I was looking for this kind of complex hair cutting from the background for a long time, thanks for it Buddy :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching
You are the best editor, I ever seen.
So many are on this platform, none of the like you.👏
10:52 That's 'Overlay' Not Soft Light
It works on overlay as well, but I noticed that too
I noticed it afterward. Overlay works, too. Soft Light is just usually a little bit better for edges. Good eye!
@@tutvid Coolio duder... 'Good eye'? Nar, play/pause and following you step-by-step lol
Great tut vids fella, big fan. 👍
*Can this work on images where everything is sharp and in focus? Cos I have a few* 😔
It should, if you use the lasso tool or pen tool for your selection
Yep. Works for images that fall far out of focus and stuff that's sharp front-to-back
What kind of drawing tablet and pen do you use?
This saved my life......well not really but I was about ready to throw my computer out the window. Thanks for a great tutorial!!
Really nice tutorial, solve the problem that bothered me for a long time😁
Impressive. Thanks for the clear explanation.
Thanks, Mac! Glad you liked it!
Great instruction, thanks for your time and expertise.
Thanks, Jim!
Very useful like always.
Thanks for another great tutorial! Does doubling the size of the image give you more pixels to work with, thus effecting the algorithms of the selection tools? Or is it just for the user to somehow see the image better? Anyone know?
You indicate that you're into "retouching", so why is it you don't already know the answer to your questions?
All the best
Thank you so much
This is not a complex background... that photo is so well shot and the hair is sharp the background is out of focus, the auto select subject tool would have zero trouble with this. You should do a viewer submitted video where folks send you photos they’re struggling with, and you could do 3 or 4 cut outs. THAT would be dope!
That's a good idea. Maybe I can start a series where a couple times a month I can take 3-4 images from the people and try my best to make the difficult selections
🤗
That's a complex background?
It isn't so much about the complexity. It's about the overlapping colours, the white on white
Who is she? Is for a homework 😏

Reast in peace.
poor skill
Such an awkward photo example
So that you can learn how to use them. More than one lesson can be learned in these videos if you have the mental capability to absorb them.
@@humblepie3472 it's just an awkward stock photo...
@@entice4988 ?
@@Sendboi What specifically is awkward about it?

Nothing awkward about her pose to you? It looks like a wierd stock photo. It's not a natural candid pose. Why are you over analyzing my comment? Like all i said was the photo was awkward. I watch all of his videos to learn photoshop. I just made a random comment...
Wow this is intense
Intense is good, right?
Difinitley this type of tutorial is hard to fin at other places. You showed the process perfectly
Do more such videos
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Amazing work tutvid. I wonder do you have anykind of tutorial about adding someone to completely different photo. I see some tutorials in the youtube but i am %100 sure if you do it that will be way more better and much easier to understand what you have to do about it. I am kinda getting it lately but the move you make at the end of the tutorial is insane. I hope you see this i want to learn the adjustments about placing someone in to another photo. Great video amazing work congrats!
Nice tutorial! Love the attention to detail in the tutorial itself, especially the fact that you've got your name and IG handle in there too! Love that kinda stuff :)
Thanks, Vic! Much love
up to now, I haven't seen two identical cutting out background tutorials. I watched like 10 already. 🤯
Thank you so much
How do you get that little zoom box where your cursor is???
Very Nice ! Thx !
Brilliantly done, expertly explained, as usual. Thanks.
Thanks for watching, Bruce!
Great tricks there to build/repair wispy hair. Thanks as ever man!
Thanks, man!
thanks for choosing a difficult cut out!
Glad you enjoyed it! :D
So helpful, thank you so much
Thanks, Aya!
Sir , keep your illustrator series keep going I learnt so much from just following you .
Thanks, man!
I would like to know could it be possible to Colorize B&W photos using channels inside photoshop ?
@10:50 Am I missing something?! You said Soft Light brush, but you select Overlay.
