Thats one of the biggest problems in people's minds that we try and compare the West with Pakistan. You cannot compare the two. It isnt a fair comparison. The West is the West and Pakistan is Pakistan. Having spent a better part of my life here in the US and Canada (~40 yrs), I still say Pakistan with all its issues is still better for us Muslims. Allah SWT give us all a correct understanding. Ameen.

Very rightly said. I also believe that comparing a developed country with a developing one isn't necessarily the right thing to do. But in this case there is a caveat that we shifted from the latter to the former so a comparison is drawn naturally at times..👍

Jazakallah for sharing this video and all your other videos! I am born and raised in the US and planning on moving to Pakistan with my children. The small details you have shared have helped immensely. I am actually quite happy that you give the pros and cons comparison of Pakistan and the Western world because even though its like comparing oranges and apples, it is giving people like me an opportunity to take on such a huge step. Its not about comparing the 2 countries but more about preparing for the differences. Many of our ancestors left Pakistan for a better opportunity for the sake of their children and today we are faced with challenges and having to make tough decisions hoping to do whats best for our children. My children are a bit older and we are collectively nervous and excited for this new chapter in life. Sometimes even moving from one town to another can is tough.
I appreciated the happiness vs time chart that you drew, its very simple but puts the basic into prospective. Ultimately, happiness is key!
I pray Allah gives us all guidance to make the best of decisions!

Thanks again for your feedback and support. It really encourages us to see that the effort is helpful. We would agree with you 100%. Comparison is only for perspective here not in absolute terms so that people who are thinking about the move become more aware mentally regards the challenges they may face 🙂. At the end if the day its the brain that is the master👍
As far as the kids are concerned I would definitely advise that they should be taken on board slowly and steadily...so that the difference in perception is minimized

The reason why Im thinking to leave England and move to the country where majority is more Muslims because we Muslims these days specifically Pakistani British Muslims are facing a lot of racism over here in England, we don’t involve in any trouble, we work hard and follow every rule n regulation of England, I don’t want to leave from England I love England but because of situation is getting worse in the uk on us coloured people I just want me n my wife n kids safe.

@@sharykog4520 yes it is difficult to stay in this kind of situation... however, I would still advise you to keep assessing the situation for the next few months and see if things improve. On the other hand if you have decided to make the move then try and see if you have a financial plan like a remote job , business or local business...baqi Allah will Insha'Allah guide you 👍👍

And one more thing, jis bachay ko parna hay wo kahin bhi parh lay ga. Whether it is in the top private school or in a barn yard. I myself have put my kids in both public schools as well as private schools and also islamic schools. Made no difference. What makes the most difference is we as parents have to take an active role in our kids education, both religious as well as secular. We do our part and leave the rest in Allah's hands. InShaaAllah all will work out. But i agree with some other comments on here, that kids will most definitely mimic what they see their parents doing. Those are the best life lessons. Do good and InShaaAllah good will come your way.

Brother, please can you comment on whether the pakistani schooling your children are receiving is very different to the U.K.
    ?
Is it a 10kg school bag, children get tons of homework, you have to constantly tutor your children and help them with extreme pressure?
    Or have things changed?

    • @hassanrafique
      @hassanrafique  4 місяці тому

School bag can be heavy on certain days as compared to others but we from the very beginning started using the trolley school bag because that eliminates the need to carry. Homework is given on a daily basis but is manageable and actually is helping with making them responsible. In this school children are not very strictly reprimanded for missing a homework ( the way it used to be in our times 😁). We are managing the tuition aspect ourselves and mostly happens around times of routine tests and examinations

The problem with sub continent is only good to visting but living parmannently is difficult and nono,
In UK things are so simple because you don't have to pay school fees, and get student loans when in unvercity.
The problem we are very sentimental.
In Pakistan only money talks in every which way's.
Lot of tempering gone with education book's and kid's are always complaining.

I still don't get it that why we Pakistanis are always so overly concerned about their kids schooling. I live In Canada and often see fellow Pakistanis immigirating from Pakistan or Middle East always posting questions about schooling on our FB group. Their haven't even got on a plane yet but wants to know "what's best neighbourhood with best schools?".
When you ask them to explain what do they mean by 'best' schools? They have nothing but some stupid explanation. If a kid is not good at studies, it's not always schools fault and it doesn't mean the kid is not bright. Not everybody is good at everything. I was not a good student either but I was good at other stuff, but Pakistani parents, unfortunately, treat their kids like they're in horse race.
Where does it say that best schools produce the best students or best human beings? I had seen people studied from govt. schools in Pakistan and have been extremely successful and overall, been a better human being than lot of people studied in cambridge system.
I understand that everyone has different opinions but in my opinion, we're trying to create humans who're book smart but not street smart. We're busy making them a money making machine. The sole reason of getting education is not to being educated, but how we can make more money and this is how we choose our careers. Not by interest, but by how much it pays.

    • @hassanrafique
      @hassanrafique  2 роки тому

I agree with many if your points but as far as we are concerned...the definition of the best school is one that is able to assess the aptitude of our child and gives him confidence in pursuing that track while at the same time giving them basics of our culture and religion 🙂

Your children have been going to Westminster School for one year. After taking into account the points that you have raised, would you still send them to the same School? I visited Westminster School a couple of weeks ago to do some on the ground research but because students had gone home, I only got to see tbe facilities.

    • @hassanrafique
      @hassanrafique  2 роки тому

I think given the progress that has happened...on average I would still send them to Westminster...there are adminstrative areas where I feel they can definitely improve but curriculum and cultural orientation wise it is still providing a good balance between liberalism and conservativeness while still being an international school. Mostly importantly the kids are happy so far...👍

    Just sharing my views
Plzz never compare Pakistan level with any other countries
You all r very lucky that you have come back on right time
    Still late but ok
I have notice mother is not that happy to be back from UK
Kids n u r quite happy n trying ur best to adjust keep everything goes right n adjust fully n healthy living ,
    Uk passport n living
Was whatever u all were n will be second citizen
When u both went n settled was a good time
Now it's very hard n further things r going to be very very insulting n
Hard for all Muslims in western
    Countries ,
Rest u know it very well
    Don't compare. But be thankful
To ALLAH. That u have come back
    In right time ,.
    Father u r great n very understandable
But mother is quite. Imature comparing the level
When things in western will rise high for hating Muslims
N they will attack n insult Muslims then compare level n remember your country n then u all will rushing back to ur country ,
Very sad to see this video
U both shouldn't compare the level of Pakistan ,
Mother need n wants to go back
With this comparing method u can never adjust n can't brought up kids or adjust them properly
Every western country is going to be unsafe n second citizen for ur kids
    U have spend ur lives
It's not ur time , focus on politics n condition of world
    Its
    Ur kids time -
    Rest u know.
