Agreed. It really wasn’t thought through at all. Whoever decided to fire Keisha has a lot to answer for. I can’t believe someone didn’t think to have an intervention and try and sort out the problems. What I’d give to know exactly what went down.

@@nintymark64 Well the label were not happy at all. They soon were dropped from Roc Nation and then by Island Records. Unfortunately Mark and his team thought arrogantly they could just simply carry on and nobody would care, as long as they kept feeding the media lies about Keisha to get fan sympathy, that fans would simply stick by Heidi and that other girl, and it wouldn't stop the dying cash cow that was the Sugababes. How wrong was he!
Keisha being kicked out by him also meant he could now have total control over the Sugababes and make them a brand, something he had been trying to do for years, he took over the ownership of the Sugababes trademark and then rehired Heidi, that other one and the lovely Jade under brand new contracts hired as the sugababes under his ownership. He then spent the last 8 or so years blocking the original line up from using the name and stopping them from getting work, until Keisha was awarded the trademark un 2019 and he lost his appeal. Now they are able to move forward with their own name after years of limbo. He's still messing with them now.

The group started as soul trio, then went to RnB, pop, and common pop at the end. It's saddening for an artistic group for their craft to be overlooked by drama all the time. Heidi still got the right to say she's one of the Sugababes that really made the group more prominent, Siobhan left on her own, of course someone's got to take her place.

Heidi was right when she said that she had been a Sugababe for 9 years which made her a sort of an "original member" but she made such a huge mistake by accepting to be part of a new completely different line-up under the same name "Sugababes". Thankfully it didn't last because the whole thing was ridiculous. They should have used a different name perhaps.

I really wish there management gave them a new name and a new label because I felt so sorry for Jade when Heidi mentioned "Oh were not going to change line ups anymore and Jade will be staying for 5 years and more and then in 2011 they split up and went on to different things I felt that was really upsetting for Jade that she never got time to show off her voice and make albums with her on it. Only one album was Sweet 7 which was great but not brilliant.

No wonder they discontinued soon after that horrible album! Keisha was a driving force and folk didn't fall for the crap they turned Sugababes into. I like Heidi and am ok with Amelle's joining in, but this is something else. Thank God MKS appeared! I do really strongly hope MKS/Sugababes will be back with their amazing album! When will it happen?

The thing is, although MKS are the founding members of the sugababes. They haven't even produced a hit song. So what does that say? Sugababes were a fantastic girl and with a stellar discography. They have creditable songs that will stand the test of time, and they wrote most of their hits. They should have just called it a day after sweet 7. Keisha seems to always downplay Heidi and Amelle's imput. But after Heidi joined they reached another level in terms of success. And Amelle contributed to the success, so why be nasty and throw shade in every MKS interview.

I feel a bit sorry for Jade. She ended up being declared bankrupt not long after they split up. She never got to experience the success of previous Sugababes lineups.

I agree whole heartily, that from a management point of view, kicking out Keisha was the right thing to do - however fanwise not so much. Personally, I think they should've just released Sweet 7 as it were and split after the promotion. Sugababes have been ruined for me, personally.

MKS! These girls as the group 'Sugababes' lost what made them great and gave them their identity. These are just sexed-up, fake, bitchy, replacements for talented girls. They had success with Heidi, but you can tell from 'Stronger' she's just not right and sticks out like a sore thumb, the girls obviously never liked her, I just hope MKS release their album and it has a kind of spark, I hope they don't just flatline, it'd be a shame and a waste of true talent and uniqueness, rather than media doll-puppets. Jade already admitted they'd split up and didn't want to lie anymore, unlike Heidi. Mutya hasn't spoke to Heidi since she left and I really hope MKS haven't just been dropped.

Heidi was the talent behind sugababes , yeah she didn't have the strongest voice but it blended well with the other two. she had the other aspects needed - the likeability etc she even wrote stronger when she first moved to london. she co-wrote other material as well. the ginger one is the least overall talented , yes she can bloody well sing but thats it, no personality that is needed to survive in the music industry - same with mutya.

Someone said they bullied Heidi and Siobhan which has been stated in the press over the years and that Andrew guy basically said Mutya is one of the least talented other than a good voice, but has no personality.
So, someone-one insulted Mutya, but I don't even see it that way, I see it as just an expression of opinion and that's the premise of UA-cam mate. No-one's "stupid" for having an opinion, this ain't the playground. I wrote my comment two years ago. They're all talented in their own way. I think I actually preferred them the most as Mutya, Keisha, Heidi.

Sitting down on BBC Breakfast and bare-faced lying to the presenters by saying " We are the Sugababes" they are absolutely not the band doesn't even look that organic and genuine. They had got a contestant from Eurovision (who goes by the name Jade) to replace Keisha who was one of the original members of the group but the audacity comes from Amelle who sat there and said " There was a lot of issues going on in that past year" Come on, does Amelle think we were born yesterday? As Keisha tried every possible way to make her feel part of the group but then knowing Amelle she would come with some story for the press to make herself and Heidi look better. Personally, it should have been Keisha and Heidi that left the Sugababes to either become a duo or to reform with Mutya or the third option they could have done would have been to reform as KSH (Keisha, Siobhan and Heidi) it felt like Heidi was only staying in Sugababes 4.0 for the money and little fanbase they had and you could just see that Heidi wasn't really into it anymore as she had been in the band for ten years. (so she is technically an original member of the group)
Amelle had joined the band in December 2005 when Mutya had left has Mutya was having a baby at the time and so we got the third line-up which consisted of Amelle, Keisha and Heidi that's where I think they should have stopped the band altogether as they could have gone a hiatus and taken on different adventures while they were still creating their fourth album (which was a total disaster as brought Jade into the mix of things) and then they could come back and go on tour releasing promos etc... But they didn't go along that route instead they went along the shady line-up change route.
Heidi is the only one on that sofa who can say she is a Sugababe as the other two were "Replacementbabes" they weren't genuine like the other members and the reason why I say that because Heidi had joined in 2001 when Siobhan had left to presume a solo career so she had been working herself to the bone to be in the band whereas the other two didn't have to worry about that whatsoever as Amelle replaced Mutya (which wasn't so bad as I could bear that) and Jade replaced Keisha (that was the one I was quite shocked about) So maybe in the future Heidi should see her former bandmates (Keisha and Mutya) to have a catch-up with them and see what they had been up to before they had reformed as MKS & the original Sugababes as I don't think Heidi has any bad feelings towards Keisha and Mutya (presumably Siobhan) because they got along quite well and seeing that she's never met Siobhan I think they would get along just fine.
But thankfully we have the original members back as the Sugababes (or Sugababes 1.0 if you prefer!) and their performance on The Graham Norton Show was amazing! So hopefully this line-up will stick and we don't get any other line-up changes! (Mentioning Sugababes 3.0 & Sugababes 4.0)

i am late commenting on sugababes videos since i am from NYC and although I prefer girls aloud over any UK artist I do have a spot for the sugababes. honestly i remember hearing about you now and denial which were my introductions to this group but then i read their band name and was turned off by it. i judged their music based off that i admit. the name sounds really childish like something ten year old girls would call themselves at a talent show.
my introduction was the “change” era so with reason Keisha, Heidi, and Amelle are who I think of when it comes to the sugababes. their previous stuff I still pick and choose but I am not a fan of their full discography. It’s just not my style and their sound was maybe good for each era but listening to them now compared to music today it’s very dated.
as I got to listen to songs though I do appreciate mutyas voice. i don’t care for Siobhan at all i think her voice is really horrible it’s super shaky sounding as if she’s nervous about something. i love Keisha’s vocals the best. i really love amelles too. i guess I have a thing for girls who have a smoky, crisp way of singing. i don’t even pay attention to whoever this girl jade is nor do I care about her she was just a last minute replacement before their official breakup.
yeah the band should have just disbanded and whoever wanted to continue with each other then they should’ve have just created a new group. they already have the connects with their label and tons of producers so I’m sure it would have worked.
i wish all these girls well though at the end. i don’t mean to sound negative but MKS was going nowhere. at this point with all the changes it just got confusing for fans and new people discovering the group. for me it took a while to realize that older songs were not being sung by the people I thought were singing! if you keep changing the line up and changing genres every album there’s no consistency and naturally people don’t like that because it makes them uncomfortable and they come off as desperate to stay famous with the name sugababes. i read their original name was sugarbabies which sounds even worse lol 💗

it has been common knowledge for years the Keisha was awful to Heidi so I'm very surprised she held out for so long. This really is the best case scenario for the group. I have always loved Heidi, Amelle has a fantastic voice and Jade has great stage presence. The new Sugababes are my favourite so far, at last the girls all seem like they are happy and genuine.

I think Keisha was really difficult to work with. Siobhan left because of Keisha. And in this interview, Amelle and Heidi really wanted to leave because of Keisha but the management decided to replace Keisha instead.
