that would not make sense. The track is recently resurface and is very smooth. The tires blowing have to do with setups.
The announcer said the track has "grooves cut into it." That was the cause of so many blow outs.

I just finished a Nascar heat 4 race at Indianapolis. What happened to Denny Hamlin in this race, actually happened in the game, I was shocked, and amazed at the same time. 😲😬😂

Some years are better than others of if. Depends on who is doing the best throughout the season. And if your favourite drivers start to retire. The Saturday Xfinity series is cooler than this main this one. was monster energy Nascar cup series. The truck series and arca series are pretty good as well. At tracks on race days in the fan zone areas. there is a lot of cool sponsorship things given out. Besides for main fans that have been into the sport most of their life it is better to see it on t.v. get to see a whole lot more that is going on. And is a lot more interesting than sitting in the stands. And the radio broadcasts and UA-cam live streams are really nice. Welcome to the sport. In the truck and arca Nascar series. there are some cool women drivers.
If the season gets to continue to the end, Kevin and Denny will be there to battle for the championship. Right now they are the best and so equal. Goodyear has to bring a better tire for next year or the surface will have to changed.
Needs to change no one wants to watch Haas and Gibbs win everything

The announcer said it happens alot late in the season you will have 2 drivers that dominate all the races. Looks like this is what we've going to see for the rest of the season .
Yeah especially with this garbage Gen 6 it's been happening since 2013. Johnson vs Matt Kenseth 2015 Kyle Busch vs Kevin Harvick. 2016 Kevin Harvick vs Jimmie Johnson and 2017 Martin Truex Jr vs Kevin Harvick.

I still don't like that track for NASCAR racing. The cars are too heavy, the tires too narrow and the turns too flat for the grooved track surface. It eats tires like a cheese grater. Would be better off running the road coarse instead of the full track.

Incredible race weekend and kudos to NBC for taking on so much in 2 days. I can't believe how many tires blew today. Maybe the cars should drive Indianapolis backwards if the tires arent going to last a fuel run.
Too bad NBC can't let go of the Bubba Wallace saga. It turned out to be nothing yet NBC and Fox can't drop it.

For driver safety reasons,Goodyear needs to bring a more durable tire to this race! This isn’t the first time this has happened at Indy. Newman, Jones, Bowman, then Hamlin all slammed the wall with blown tires. Goodyear should be safety first just like nascar.
Wow!! That was a pretty awesome race. But man some of those guys had a legitimate chance of beating Harvick but that track is just brutal on tires. Either Goodyear tires are just bad or the Brickyard is just the Cookie Monster of tires. But it’s true this season is quickly becoming the Harvick and Hamlin show.
Nascar needs to give up on Goodyear at indy they cant make a tire for this track

Does Brennan Poole know what a break pedal is? If Penske wants to run this track. He needs to learn how to make Indianapolis safer for the drivers. If we didn’t have the safety advancements we have today. Atleast 3 drivers could’ve had severe injuries. Also, make pit road wider so no one dies on pit road.
Boring as usual. Where's all the excitement and sitting on the edge of your seat waiting to see drivers fighting for position. Don't get me wrong, I love NASCAR as much as the next guy.
