People really don't give JB and Michelle the credit they deserve for how they raised their kids. So many times Jessa mentions what her parents taught her and it is so sweet to watch. They did a good job laying the foundation for their kids. It is not easy to parent so many children but they did it to the best of their ability and I rspect them for that.

A friend use to tell me " I came to see you not the house" in response to me apologizing for my messy house

My husband and I have been in ministry for many, many years and it's been a while since we have entertained. I was thinking about starting back up again and this video was a refreshing reminder! What a sweetheart your daughter is...made me smile the entire time! God bless!

I remember visiting your house a few times as a younger teen. Your family was super hospitable and always fed us well even though we were a family of 10! ;)
You have some great tips! I have been hosting some play dates as well as dinners with friends lately, and I really enjoy it.

Jessa, I really appreciate you doing this video. :-) Hospitality is something I have always struggled with during our almost 8 years of marriage. It definitely does not come naturally for me either. The biggest thing I struggle with is not seeming nervous and keeping conversation natural. I love your point about thinking in advance of questions to ask. One thing I have tried lately is being hospitable outside of normal meal times - having someone over for coffee, or dessert only. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to do this video. :) I love the way Ivy Jane looks at you!

Jessa, this was such a refreshing video to watch. Whenever I know we are going to have guests to our home, it is a most stressful time for me. Your video has given me a whole new outlook! It all makes perfect sense, yet, I've never looked at entertaining company in such a relaxed and comfortable way. I will try hard to put ALL your suggestions to practice from now on! I also realize now that guest can most likely 'feel' when the host/hostess is feeling stressed and that is the complete opposite impression that I want them to feel. Thank you Jessa!

Hi Jessa. It's so refreshing to see how real your real life is. I'm sure having three little kiddos can be exhausting. Your tips on hospitality are great. I especially liked the one about not trying new recipes. It can be tempting but better off to go with something tried and true. I love that your posting more. I've been binge watching some of the ones you have posted and just love them! Thank you for sharing your precious family.

Jessa, Ivy stole the show on this video. LOL She is so sweet and when she looks up at you it melts my heart. She is a beautiful baby girl. I had to go and watch twice so I could go back and listen to your advice. What are the 3 dishes you usually go to? Just curious and see if I could try your dishes.

So helpful to hear someone else talk about hosting, I struggle with this especially when I want to invite people but then feel like I’m not doing something right. Thank you

I’m so bad at conversations. I would love to be better because I do genuinely care and enjoy talking to people. However, I always end up sticking a foot in my mouth or at least that’s how I feel.
