Thanks, I have a Marklin set up running on K track. One steam engine was purchased in 1953 in Australia, very heavy tank engine,I will send more information later. I enjoy your videos.👏😊
I always marvel at the level of detail you are able to create. Often times, when watching some of your scenes, I find myself expecting the people in it to move in response to the trains or other events depicted.
and don't forget - nearly all of this with reasonable priced materials, instead the quite often horrendous overpriced stuff from the big modell building companies. one of the most impressing videos on this channel (in my opinion) was this one ua-cam.com/video/2TwpB7sVMn8/v-deo.html
Many thanks for your excellent videos; I am late into model railways (mid 70's ) and re took it up due to lockdown. Your videos are really great and have given me great ideas and inspiration. Many many thanks. I am very busy now putting it all to work; your toilet paper use is great.
Hello. You built it very nicely again. Gluing the LEDs onto the lantern is a great idea. The loading of the wagon looks very good. Thanks and regards - Tino
While excavating the foundation for the new schoolboard offices, we uncovered the old slag dump from the old steam locomotives. We were about 200 yards from the old station which is now a museum. Covered an area 150 feet by around 75 feet.
This is very useful for my layout. I am about to work in an loco works. Thank you for sharing your videos, they are great to watch while we are stuck at home. 😀😀
You have very easy and simple tricks to get desired weathering done. Impressive! Interested in seeing your entire layout in operation. Please consider making a video of it.
It is always fun to watch your videos because you are so positive and enthusiastic about your hobby. I am not in to model railroads at the moment (used to be when I qs younger) but I still enjoy watching your videos and hope to maybe start up the hobby again at a later time.
Nice video. Using Ammo asphalt for ashes seems great (it's Ammo by Mig, the old Mig products are now by another company, I think AK). The traffic ideas are great.
I appreciate your channel and sent you some support again..more rail yard videos would be great..all rail yard videos have been very interesting and helpful.
Nice early morning fog effect. Too few ever do any environmental videos like that. I’m assuming that’s what you intended? Layout is looking great. I know you did an overview but may be good to do an annual run out of your layout to see how all the tutorial builds fit into your layout.
Hey, I just want to give some food for thought regarding the placement of your water cranes: removing the ash is very time consuming, so the water cranes are placed near the ash pit most of the time. Thus, the cranes can also be used to cool down the ash. As an idea, you could place the water crane besides the ash pit so that locomotives which want to get only water can take it on the parallel track while another locomotive is filled with coal on the lower track :) Great video, it was fun to watch!
I know someone who worked in Bw in Germany.Unless your talking about BR01,it took 10-15 minutes for the each station. The water took more time as dampfloks held more water than coal.Sand could be topped off if needed.
@@kevinbrady6075 I'm just talking from my experience and what I've read in my model railway literature. In the old locomotive station in my hometown, the water cranes were located at the ash pit, as it was at the station museum in Bochum. I don't want to say it's wrong, I just wanted to give food for thoughts because I saw otherwise ;)
Loved watching this. It gave me lots of ideas to improve my layout. Greetings from the Netherlands. Sorry for the many comments on your videos but it's a bitt your own fault, LOL.
Nice build locomotive station. I am also fan of german steamers. The locomotive where you say it was the br 43, that's a little mistake. It's a BR 44 but the locomotive has a computernummer. Thats a system to make diffrence on paper between a coal and oil fired locomotive. The 043 is a br 44 oil fired. A 044 is a br 44 coal fired.
Excellent video as always! quick question.. I am so curious .. what are the dimensions of your room?? Looking to build something around your size but knowing this would be very helpful to me. Thank You.
Hi! Thank you! My room is 3,6 x 4,8 meters. If I were to choose, I would ask for another meter width. Because then I could avoid all 360mm radius curves. So.. Ideal size would be 4,6 x 4,8 meter.
Thanks for the nice video, is there a spot or place where they sell the tiny leds you use at the watercrane? And what type you use in the video ? Greetings from the netherlands
In your latest video - starting your train set etc from a week ago, you mentioned that you took the light bulbs out of the switches as they consumed too much electricity. Could you not utilize the LED 0603s for that purpose - that you showed in this video?
On both layouts you forgot the sanding. Everything was there, but not the sanding. But still, very nice job, as always. Greetings from the Čech Republic 🇨🇿
Hello, for the last couple of days, i’ve been watching your channel and IM LOVING IT!! I’ve learned so much just by watching your tutorials. They are incredibly helpfull!! I have a question though....I’m running my trains on 3 rail, like you do, and im building a steamemgine depot. Like every steamdepot there is an ashpitt, normaly situated under de steamengine. I want to use the artitec ashpitt, but how am i going to make it, so that my steamengine pics up current to run further? I hope you can help me out with this!! Thank you, Paul from the Netherlands!
Probably depended on when and where you looked, during the later period of steam-engines where it was clear that the steam engines would be replaced soon I can imagine that a watercrane could get a bit derelict.

@@marklinofsweden Great job! Very effective!
I noticed you glue the items with LED's in it, how do you replace them if they are broken?
Hi! I don’t. LEDs don’t break
@@marklinofsweden ok
@@marklinofsweden They can fail, But if you keep the running current low and are very careful with polarity they should last a very long time.
