That is a real nice Bethlehem Steel train. Those slag buckets, or ladles, are pretty neat, for sure. Usually, the slag was taken to a pit and dumped. It is incredible to watch a pour. It just lights up everything, especially at night. Sometimes it is made into ballast, used in some industries and probably the steel plants themselves, to ballast the tracks within the facility. An excellent video, as always.
I love Bethlehem steel trains but the horn on that Genet switcher is the pits. Why does it have 3 blasts instead of just one. Not a real good horn at all. But your layout is really good and thanks for sharing it with us. Take care. I have a small block of steel which was part of the last pours when they closed in town here. Too bad. I also have a number to I beam book ends the workers used to make when they cut off an I beam. One set they had the book ends chromed. Looks real cool.

Great video Sean. If Bethlehem steel had you running and loading and unloading their trains, it might still be here hahaha. Missed your commentary.
Awesome Sean!!!

Really cool Sean, Those Gensets are so nice. Hey, who makes that "Trackside produce" stand you have on the layout?
Thats was custom made.
Are all the operating accessories new “last few years” or post war reconditioned?
Modern versions
Hey Sean!I have one of the bethlehem steel Gensets as well! Isn’t it a great runner on your layout? Cheers from The Furnace Rd Railway Corp!!🍻
Beautiful set. Is it Lionel 2024?
No, it was a few years ago these came out. Like 2 or 3 years ago.
I believe it came from Lionel's 2021 Vol2 catalog guys
The Genset reminds me of two of these engines that Naval Weapons Station Earle in NJ uses ua-cam.com/video/Q1YTEWd2ro8/v-deo.htmlsi=gbfwZ4SrsHtNR1WG
