I’m having a different issue. The rollers the sand paper sits on stops moving once it makes contact with wood.

Making Stuff I checked the belt on my Bosch PBS75 and it was fine. Must be bearings or something. I brought it in.

I have this same belt sander with the same problem however, my belt is not broken...both gears are broken...almost like they were made of concrete and broken...weird. Anyway, do you know where I can find both gears to replace. I need both the small one and the big one. All my searches end up about getting a new belt which I don't need. Thanks.

Hi and thanks for all the fixes. Do you know how can I repair a belt sander whose belt keeps slipping?

Hello, I guess there should be a knob somewhere on the machine for such adjustments.

This thing lasted about 3 days of sanding trim before the motor started smelling and bogging down. It is binding up when manually rotating the motor gear. About to find out what's causing it.

I bought the belt but the large wheel won't turn. could the rear wheel assembly be bad?

Can you do a fix that shows how to keep the belt from chewing up. It is aligned but once working after two passes its moving what to do.

W/O seeing one I suspect that the pulley and the gear have set screws holding them in place. They may need to be adjusted on the shafts they sit on. With your side cover pulled off test and see which one appears to be out of alignment.

That belt replacement technique is not working for me. I have the exact same model. It does not slide on that easy. Still working on it for half an hour now

Seriously? A new belt, that's not a fix.... Unless running out of petrol in your car is 'fixed' by putting more in.
New title. Belt sander maintenance. There 'fixed' it for ya 🙄
