Everyone wants the 116. Which makes the 111 a steal due to less demand. I’ve ridden both and the 111 is smoother and actually more torquey from a dead stop. The 116 is the hot rod version of the 111 and it comes with some drawbacks. Smoothness and low speed behavior are the biggest drawbacks to the 116
I've been wanting to demo a Sport Chief as well, after watching this review the Chief Bobber does have me curious too. The tank size does seem a bit lacking on paper (4 gallon.) You could probably go a bit further on a road trip over the Scout's tank size. I think it falls in line well for its size in comparison to the Street Bob have a 3.5 gallon tank, however most of the other Soft Tails have a 5 gallon tank. Probably Indians way to save money at the use for one tank size for all their Chief's in the lineup.
The chief bobber was a really laid back cruiser but still had plenty of power and felt more like your typical cruiser. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It reminded me of my scout bobber quite a bit
@ actually I felt when I test rode it that the smaller wheels turned in better especially at slower speeds. And also I liked how planted the smaller fatter tires felt. But that’s just how I felt, I could be wrong about it.
@@IronBornRider sure but my feel be uneducated and shallow from just a test ride perhaps the other setup is safer and better from a more scientific perspective you know so I can’t always trust my “feeling” as to rider comfort YES 💯 agree my personal comfort only I can judge, although despite both being cruisers I just don’t feel any of them are that comfortable, the Low Rider S with its mid controls are so high I feel totally cramped and with the small handlebars even if they are tilted towards you still require me to lean forward or have stretched out arms and my arms are not short I’m 6feet - so I holding back on purchasing until I solve that. Cause I don’t care how cool a bike looks if it’s not comfortable you won’t ride it.
@ have you tried the heritage softail? It’s one of the most comfortable Harleys and it rides really well. I would highly encourage you to check that bike out. With the low rider s you do have to modify it a bit to fit you but with the heritage softail I think is much more comfortable from factory and rides really well.
I ride a 22 Super Chief 111, absolutely love the bike even with the funky small opening saddle bags.
I got a chance to demo one myself. Excellent bike
Lost me at nothing to write home about….. my favorite bike MAN 😢😢
I was talking about the brakes 😅. I like it much more than the sport chief
That white is clean
Great share fam. I need to get out and test ride more Indians.
Thanks JR!
I got the base version but I love it so much! I just wish it had more top end speed.
I actually think I might prefer the base version
Put a set of end cans on to make it sound like it should and it's perfect.
Gotta get that rumble

I also thought the 111 felt smoother to me

Yeah, it's a demo bike... it's probably not been in the gentlest of hands :D Sounded good though!
It did sound pretty good
Do you prefer the smaller chunky tires if you had a choice between that and the larger wheels of the sport?
The larger thinner wheels are better for handling but the chunkier tires just looks better in my opnion

@ that’s what matters at the end of the day. What feels better to you. It’s your bike.

What year is that bike? I thought all the chiefs had Ride Command
It’s a 2024 model. I think you need the dark horse version to get ride command
Let’s go
Bike sounds mean
