Mediocre Amateurs Drinking Game (It had to be done.): -Take 3 drinks if the video begins with a helicopter ride. Take a drink every time: -Blake is mentioned but not actually present in the video. -Aaron eats a salted nut roll. -Someone makes a joke about perishing. Take two drinks if the phrase “Naked bloated corpse” is mentioned. -Someone has an existential crisis about why they participate. -Someone laments about the planned milage being incorrect -The word “Implode(d)” is used. -Matt talks about bears. -Blake or Christof get left behind. -Blake feels ill. -Danny’s hatred of cold water is mentioned. -Christof subtly flexes about being in some other country just hours before. -Darkness sets in. -Someone eats or mentions a Little Debbie product. Finish your drink if: -Danny pukes (once per episode). (All in good fun. Love y'all's videos! Feel free to add to the list).
Like opening up a new container of ice cream, then silently crying after you've eaten it in record time after its gone. Then going on a hike and having the shits
I think the most under appreciated part of your channel is the b-roll shots. These all take SO much time to shoot and are used for under 2 seconds in most cases. That lake shot at 2:45 is flat out amazing, keep crushing it you are a huge inspiration.
Me on the couch with feet propped up, watching with bowl of chips and beer in hand, "It's only 10 more miles or so Aaron, what's the big deal? Don't wimp out." :) LOL way to hang in there pal!
Usually when I'm "watching" youtube I'm actually doing something else on the other screen and casually digesting the audio. For MA I prop up the elbows on the desk and just drink in the views and the vibes. You guys are an inspiration and help smooth over the wanderlust between trips west. Also, loving the addition of Chase, but the Search for Blake continues...
This is one of my favorites!! Wow! Thank you for the awesome scenery, the humor, the feeling you convey that we need to get out and do this!! I feel like I know you all and you could be my friends!!
Guys thank you for sharing your excellent repudiation of the general 2020 malaise! Brilliant timing with your capture of the stunning fall colors. Nothing Mediocre about any of it!
Hiked to lake solitude a couple of weeks ago. Really wanted to climb up over paintbrush buy my daughters were exhausted. Kudos for them making it that far.
Very well done video. Having just hiked up Teton Canyon and down Cascade there was a lot of familiar territory. I had aspirations of doing paintbrush pass but we ran out of time. It was nice to see what we missed, maybe next time.
How oh how does someone fit enough to run 38 miles in a day, with all the long training runs required to get to that level, manage to forget to bring trail food? It's like keys, wallet, glasses, phone when you leave the house. Rain jacket, warm layer, water, food. Nausea at 8; pre-launch sequence initiated!!!!!!
My husband and I love watching your videos! Our favorite channel on UA-cam. Seriously makes us happy when you guys upload a new one. Great content that makes us both laugh!
I’d love a bonus episode - a behind-the-scenes type thing that shows all your camera set ups, and how you get all those amazing shots. Seriously, yours is one of my favorite UA-cam channels!
I had no idea how awesome it looked up there in the Tetons. I guess I should've known with how dramatic they look from the valley. Great video, thanks!
I literally can’t even hike in the dead of winter without POURING sweat and this guy goes on trail runs with a fleece on... lol crazy how different were all built.
Wow! This has been on my list for about 2 years now. I did Alaska Basin in a day a few months ago and loved it. Doing my first 50k in May, maybe next Fall I could make this happen. 11 hours seems really fast! Good work, great video - this makes me super excited to do it.
Would you guys consider doing a video on how you choose your routes? How you plan for unexpected weather and need B routes or C routes? Probably would be a video more appropriate for Extra Mediocre
29km 1200m vert gain day yesterday, after being out of the mountains for 4 months. 17km of that totally off track, grassy meadow or bush whacking. Aussie summer. Legs are cooked, wish i was a robot and could get back out there today - mediocre amateur videos are inspiring
As someone who's backpacked the trail before this just feels psychotic haha. Also, makes me feel a little better to see you guys not running up Paintbrush because that elevation gain over the divide is really no joke. Love the video, always brightens my day!
You guys are an inspiration during PT. Sometimes I’m content with simply being able to run a few miles and hike a few thousand feet up hills. Then I watch one of your videos and it pushes me to try and keep improving.
I think I literally left Teton Village two days before you guys did this. Love it! Keep up the good work, love your videos. Wish I was that fit. Totally worth the patreon subscription to see you guys still uploading 😀
You guys should enter Eco-Challenge now that it's been revived (multi-discipline, multi-day outdoor event); I would LOVE to watch you in that, (it's broadcast on Amazon Prime & other channels) you'd definitely get in as a team and you guys already do all the activities. Aaron was bringing Blake with you guys in this outing via 'bad gas station food', particularly if he ate any Little Debbie products or drank a Mountain Dew ;-)
Funny you should mention this... Chase and I were on Team Sundance Kids, team #61. We tried to recruit Danny but he was busy running the Haute Route at the time. We weren't a featured team, but we pop up on the show from time to time.
You crazy mountain goats know how to make my day! I get more motivation out of a mediocre amateur video than any other channel. And I always say, Best channel on UA-cam. 😁🤳 Thanks for sharing. 🙏🏼💪✨ ☮️🧡
Amazing video, there's nothing like the views in the section on the shelf and then on hurricane pass!!! This was such a treat, I've done the crest trail 3 times and hope to get into good enough shape to do it again. Thanks for always putting out amazing content!
Love it! I did that route (reverse direction) 16 years ago with a big sack of photo/video and overnight gear, before climbing the Grand. Now you've got me psyched to go do it again :)
40 miles, 10k climb. I couldn't possibly...
"My in-laws are at my house" ok, maybe I could.
I can totally relate
Yep. I'll take death on a mountain any day!
If your wife sees this video you may be pretty lonely for a while. Im just sayin....
@@rickb5946 More time for activities
Finally something worth watching on UA-cam.
Amen!
second that!
Every single video is that way

This could be fatal for some of their videos.
I’ve actually seen all of this happen in one video
Bears, what about bears? How could u forget to mention bears in this game?
@@bboss8048 I got bears! Every time Matt talks about bears!
Hahaha Christof mentioning he was in another country just hours before. He is a pilot so it makes sense.
It's a bit like Christmas when you guys put something up...
Makes me happy every time you guys upload.
The music starts and its like the opening theme to my happy place.
Like opening up a new container of ice cream, then silently crying after you've eaten it in record time after its gone. Then going on a hike and having the shits
@@1Deejay7 Has this... happened to you before?

Cool seeing you over here! Your channel and this channel are my two favorites at the moment.
Thank you in-laws for making this video happen
Yes, today is going to be a great day, because another Mediocre Amateurs video was uploaded!! Awesome video, keep up the great work!!
Me on the couch with feet propped up, watching with bowl of chips and beer in hand, "It's only 10 more miles or so Aaron, what's the big deal? Don't wimp out." :) LOL way to hang in there pal!
I feel fitter than two hours ago when I first started watching !
Absolutely love it!! Also, only in Utah do people bleep the word ‘ass’, lol
Only place I've seen someone get offended by someone else saying "darn."
Son of a bishop
Shout-out to your in-laws for all the great content motivation
You are my favorite crew to watch endlessly on winter days.

you guys are insane, I wouldn't be surprised to see a video titled "climbing Mt. Everest in 30 minutes"
No puking is a Mediocre success!! Another stellar vid, guys
Never stop doing this Danny! It’s amazing and seriously is the best channel on UA-cam! ✊🏽
I should be getting ready for work..... nope just watched another awesome adventure.
Haha me too!
For endurance freaks and peak baggers, you guys are the best!!!. Your diets and sleep before the adventures are comedy!!!!!!
Best part of working from home right here: "I got a call I had to take"
I always look forward to another video from you guys. Can't wait for some skiing this winter.
I would love to visit those places, greetings from Chile
This is one of my favorites!! Wow! Thank you for the awesome scenery, the humor, the feeling you convey that we need to get out and do this!! I feel like I know you all and you could be my friends!!

Waited all day to get home and watch it on the big screen and What ...no puking .... well it was still worth a 👍 Thanks boys

Awesome Video. Love your film quality!
It sure is spectacular.!! So..jealous you guys.!!🥰😍
Awesome job! I just backpacked this with my son last weekend, and it was awesome!
Another great video.
Always look forward to your uploads! Time to grab a beer and watch some dudes be anything but mediocre.

Simply amazing scenery Gents, well done !
Im taking one of your shirts up the summit of the Grand in a couple weeks. You guys are badass
Another epic adventure!!

dadgum you guys are killing it, so incredible! go go go
Sweet Vid, just completed running Mt Hood this summer, looking at doing the Teton Run maybe 2024! Cheers
One of the best vids so far. really cool how your skillset highlights these places
That is absolutely fantastic footage.
Another great video to watch while spending a break away from work for 15 min.
Great scenery . . .
The conversation between you three at 6:15 is so relatable, as is Aaron's line at 6:56 hahahaha
Love that hike. So glad I live 1 hour away from the Tetons
I had no idea how awesome it looked up there in the Tetons. I guess I should've known with how dramatic they look from the valley. Great video, thanks!

Excellent video, guys! Love the bit about the quinoa and sweet potato burrito! Too funny.
Your videos are always beautiful. This one might be the best!
You guys finally pushed me to do more this summer; summited the Pfeifferhorn for the first time, and got many more hikes planned for next summer.
What great scenery! Thank you so much.
Great video yall! Gas station food is a classic trail runner move lol
i love these videos
This channel f’in changed my life, str8 up!

Yep that's how they got that fit, by wishing for it lol
Looks to me like a rescue!
With all the parks you guys visited this year, I hope you bought an America the Beautiful pass!
That's the gnarly extended version. I've only done the route from Death to Cascade. A few hours less but perhaps most of the beauty. Nice work.
You guys should enter Eco-Challenge now that it's been revived (multi-discipline, multi-day outdoor event); I would LOVE to watch you in that, (it's broadcast on Amazon Prime & other channels) you'd definitely get in as a team and you guys already do all the activities.

So Chase runs 40 miles and climbs 9000ft! Then he gets on his Grandma's bike and rides 16 miles! Respect to Grandma!😂😂😂
Stunning! Thanks for capturing the amazing scenery (whilst on a hard slog).
Awesome trip

Nice job in one of my favorite parks.
Really like how you keep the videos fresh. Also that’s a beautiful part of the world there

You guys get after it! I work there and you guys made a rather burly traverse look easy! Great video as usual!
Nothing like a tiny 16 mile bike at the end to wrap up a mega day!
I was just talking about how there's nothing good on UA-cam lately. A video from you guys changes that!
Another great video. I always get excited when I see y’all upload.
So motivating, thank you for posting these incredible videos!!!
Love it! I did that route (reverse direction) 16 years ago with a big sack of photo/video and overnight gear, before climbing the Grand. Now you've got me psyched to go do it again :)
Y’all are BEASTS!
Amazing scenery!
Danny never misses an opportunity for a good in-law burn.
I did paintbrush to cascade a few years ago! Let's just say you guys made the right decision coming DOWN paintbrush!
Awesome stuff! - A new fan
These videos are the best monthly tradition lmao
Good video nice work
one of my favorite all-time trails! y'all are beasts
the views are gorgeous
Monsters- you guys are awesome and I love this Amateur hour!
Animals. Keep it up.
Yay! New video from Mediocre Amateur. I was wondering what you were up to. : )
This gives me life!!
epic adventure guys, good job
That "shelf" looks fantastic! I didn't even know it exists.
This is amazing. It takes most hikers 4 days to do this same route.
Oh damn, I did that paint brush divide trail, it was only 20 miles but it was a tough one.
Massive runs ...great fitness.
