I personally feel that as long as the race is kind on the eyes im happy the only race I use directly for the tree is the tiefling to bypass fire immunity but other then that just make them pretty and ill make it work
tieflings are one of the best racial (species) trees in the game presently, way way OverPowered compared to the other races - 2 reasons - the fire spell that strips immunity is god-tier, and tieflings out of the box fear immunity. Fear immunity in DDO is in itself overpowered because it negates all effects caused by fear. When tieflings were initially tested and introduced I said they should not be 100% fear immune because no player race is in any version of the players hanbooks for pen and paper. Of course no one listened to me and they launched as marvel superheroes who are infernally immune to feeling what all other life feels - from a lore perspective its bonkers and broken - from a ddo min/max perspective Tiefling is great as a final build because of these overpowering strengths and would be what I use myself were I not such a drow fan (drow is actually the worst, least powerful in DDO right now and needs to be updated to the present meta to be equal to deep gnomes/tieflings/dragonborn etc.) Oh wow, don't even get me started talking about dragonborn ...
In the farm house its not worth rescuing all of the farmers except that first group. Let her go upstairs, clear the room of drow and then rescue the group of three... then she doesn't heal to full 3 times in a row.
Isle of Dread drops a doublestrike augment - I think its 15% - have you seen that one? I agree with you they totally need another Randal Lyric and a lot more augments - the set bonuses for Myth Drannor are tied to augments so you will be able to slot them in other gear with set bonuses to get double set bonuses - as long as the bonus type is different, they will stack
@@McmxtTV I will have to farm Isle of Dread then, I have not picked up any double strike augment so far in game and have been playing quite a while now; I can't apply a three set bonus until I can take off the gear that has the doublestrike, so an augment would help. Thanks for the reply.
Yes! they were updated when Sinister Secret came out (U50) The Iconic got their first Chain Attack ability as an innate racial feat and some other good stuff. Really good iconic.
I love Kings forest, but I'm sure I haven't seen it all. Love the sound, the music and the overall feel. I don't care for stormhorn. I can't say why - it just doesn't feel high fantasy I guess. But the Kings Forest isn't the only good area. You have Underdark and the Drow city. All those areas adds such awesome vibes. It is a pity that they never invested more quests in Underdark or the city - missed opportunity.
I agree, something is off about the stormhorns, i think it feels a bit too normal, but I do like the various orc villages and how vast and the very high mountains. You're so right about the underdark, that should be expanded to x20 - the underdark is a great setting and I think it would be a great place for new quests and zones. I am a huge fan of how BG3 did the underdark, one of the best parts of that game.
Would need to know more about your build, level, past lives, reaper points, etc; also what content you are trying - normal, hard, elite, reaper etc; and if you are using new gear, old gear, etc - what is your caster stick? are you epic using filigrees? Etc. there's so many variables in DDO. I'm happy to help; in my video im on a toon that is just shy of x3 completionist, using the iconic and wild mage SLAs and using the feydark illusionist SLA which is boosted by the wild magic; some hits are big, some small, but overall really good considering the cost of the SLAs is so cheap; and when compared to the other sorcerer SLAs, vastly superior. Many times caster damage comes down to metamagics and hitboxes. Some spells have great hit boxes, some are garbage - were you using the wild magic slas or other spells? the more data we have to work with the easier to find answers - also - not seeing good damage makes me feel like your previous play was on a high damage toon - what were you playing before chaosmancer/wild mage?

@@McmxtTV thats fair to give all the other races something that are lacking but I'm more into the visuals as certain classes can make anything work

hey nice yeah, i usually dont rescue them, back in the day I did, but now I just try to get in and out - good to know about her heals thanks.
I hope they have another Randall Lyric in the new expansion; I am waiting for the game to offer higher level ability and double strike augments.

Didn't they revamp Shadar Kai recently?

@@McmxtTV That is so true. I spent so much time in Underdark in BG3. It could be a whole thing in DDO, just as 'sewers' is like DDO early game :)
I'm not seeing good damage at all, what am I missing?
