This might be a dum question but does the vehicle needs to be with the engine running when doing this or just with the electronics on like when you just press the start button without pushing the break? Thank you
You can do with both engine on or electronics on though I would just do electronics on ( just because the alternator is off since the engine is off. ) You never know with such complex cars these days. Better safe than sorry.
I only have the option for long adaptation I dont have adaptation. In Long adaptation I can only enter e new value it worked but the Ah is on 95 and I want to change it to 110 and it does not let me do it
if you just slap in a battery with out coding it ( letting the computer know what exact variant of a battery it is ) it might cause some damage to the alternator and electronics.
more than likely! almost all other YT and forums mention wrecking a new battery in about 2 months if not coded. This is because the car will treat the new battery as if it were original and knackered one. Even if it lasts a year it is a poor value for you hard earned money. You need a Pro version of the Next Gen OBDEleven .. around £87 in UK money... The Pro plan part of the deal reverts back to basic after 12 months.. However Basic is still a useful thing to have to diagnose faults or clear them after fixing. It's still cheaper than the £300 VW want for my Polo EFB battery replacement and coding even buying a higher specification battery too!
Can you give a link for the obd eleven device that you used thanks!
you can buy it through the app once you download it.
Does the battery have to be coded to the car or will it function ok without being coded?
I mean better to code it than replacing the alternator
Do you need the pro version of obdeleven to be able to program the battery like this?
Yes

Did you try to put security code within that specific module?
